Tunney would have only enhanced his overall standing as a heavyweight champion if he had hung around for a while. He could have only fought Schmeling and Sharkey, and IMO would have beaten them both...but I think he would have beaten all the champions that preceeded Louis. Carnera he would have systematically destroyed,...in the way I just posted,...and Baer and Braddock he would have soundly outpointed...another day in the office vs both. He would have been retired long before Louis came along.

 

He saw a future vision of Elvis at an IHOP.

 

Between Marciano and the rest of them in that list, you could fit in two Grand Canyons.
