None of those things happened in the exchange between Hammer and McVey; this is made up in your head.

Look: one of two things can happen here. 1) You can let this go/pretend to let this go. 2) You will be permabanned.

I think you should have been permabanned two months ago and you weren't for one reason only: @Rumsfeld put a word in for you. If he hadn't done that you'd be gone.

So it's entirely up to you. But do not misunderstand. This is, literally, your final warning. I won't be asking Rumsfeld's opinion this time. If you can control yourself, you can stay, if you can't, you'll be posting as an alt only from here on in.

Prime Marciano is all wrong for him. This would look alot like the LaStarza fight. Marciano by KO/TKO rounds 10-12. Tunney was a tough guy and boxing genius though

I would like not to be perma banned, as the content on this website, generated by the users, is really valuable.
I also have a healthy dose of self respect, as every individual should. And will not participate in a community where I can only be on the receiving end of personal attacks and insults. As much as I really want to be here, there's a tipping point for the abuse people are willing to endure.

Can you at least clarify to me, what it is I should not be doing, that would lead to me being perma banned? So that I know what I cannot do? I am genuinely unaware where certain lines are being drawn.

My assumption is that I cannot challenge or raise concern with your modding style of the site?
And that I cannot insult you? I'm totally cool with that, but are you still able to insult me?

I appreciate @Rumsfeld vouching for me.
If I had to guess, he did it less as a favor to me, and more because it was the right thing to do. I think more of his compassion and understanding would drive a less amount of valuable contributors out, and would bring more in.

Do your very best to work it out on your own.

If you receive a perma-ban, you won't be able to come back without posting anonymously, no.

I don't think Lastarza and Tunney are that similar actually.Tunney was far more mobile and I'd say hit a bit harder.I can't envisage Tunney losing to a journeyman lhvy like Rocky Jones , nor being floored by him.

Sure you don't want to talk about it and try to work it out?

There's a good number of boxing fans on here who love my contributions and my content. There are more superb contributors waiting in the woodwork in hopes that this place becomes good and non-toxic.

Well if you see a man with a strange name posting awesome high quality content that the large majority of members love, be aware that you have an intruder in your midst.

The quality or otherwise of your content makes no difference now.

Only the intervention on your behalf of someone I respect allows you to make these claims on your own behalf. That's all.

Well Tunney has a better chin that say Charles or Walcott, and could be the hardest puncher Marciano beat, apologies to Joe Louis who seemed to have lost his pop when they meet.

Unlikely Walcott. Tunney didn't take foolish chances or slow down. While Walcott was hard to catch clearly Tunney simply used he feet to stay in the range he wanted to, and sorry Marciano would have a tough time catching up to Tunney.

Tunney is essentially a much better version of LaStarza who might have beaten Marciano in the first fight. and was ahead in the second until he gassed.

I like Tunney via decision here.

Tunney hit harder than Archie Moore, the all time knockout king?

RING listed Archie Moore 4th greatest puncher of all time in their top 100 list which came out in 2003. Did Tunney make the list?

I don't think Lastarza gassed, low punches early on took a bit out of him and after 6 rds Rocky became more measured in his attacks and started to target the body, smart move on his part.
He eventually slowed Lastarza to a walk and then he was in big trouble,Rollie showed a lot of heart, but wound up taking a bad beating, I think it left its mark on him in the fights to come.

Moore was an excellent puncher but look at the names of most of the heavies he stopped. I don't reckon he was a great heavyweight puncher,of course that doesn't mean he didn't hit harder then Tunney.

That is true, and he took a mean hook on the break, which was the best punch Marciano landed up to that point in the fight. I have read LaStarza over trained for the fight, but I seldom buy that excuse.

But if LaStarza could out box Maricano, so could Tunney and then some. Tunney was only floored once in all of his fights. That's it. His conditioning and foot speed were excellent and jab too long for Marciano.
