Stamina separates boxers. So many power athletes are lacking stamina.

In boxing without conditioning you're screwed. If you gas like Hearns did against Leonard you're screwed. Or when Taylor gassed against Froch you're screwed.

yup I'd expect that where you need the greatest balance of attributes that work against each other eg muscle mass vs flexibility, stamina vs explosive power that's where the difficulty must be most marked, because you gain one at the ultimate detriment of the other, and that must be really slow gains and very hard work to maintain.

Basketball, soccer, running, swimming, wrestling and tennis seem like they would take a great deal of stamina at a high level.

Yet their strength, jumping ability is weak as p*ss.

Get a 80kg Boxer and a 80kg Oly-Lifter and get the Boxer to do what the OL does. He wouldn't do a single thing better.

Gymnasts are the best all around athletes. It's impossible to be a poorly conditioned gymnast. You can be a poorly conditioned boxer.
You'll never see a gymnast coming into a meet looking like Odlandier Solis.

but to be fair you'd be seeing a good gymnast.

A wlad K victim is nothing like a top athlete.

Running is easy in comparsion to working a heavy bag.
Of course in football you dont just run at a steady pace in one direction but i can still manage to play for 60 minutes. No way in hell can i work the heavybag for 60 minutes.

Off the top of my head, I'd say basketball and futbol/soccer players. Both sports require a great deal of stamina.

I don't see how this question could be answered. Fitness varies from athlete to athlete. As for conditioning.........Better conditioned to do what? Someone said gymnasts. Gymnasts are not best conditioned for running, boxing, or cycling. Muscles are trained + conditioned for specific sports.
