I agree but take hamed. He never unified all the belts but he beat all the belt holders.

So despite proving himself the best imo, he didn't unify the belts.

Being the undisputed champion of the world, fornicating with as many beautiful women as possible and having more money than I could ever imagine.

Human nature is to always want more. I doubt very few fighters are satisfied with just winning a title and defending it against mandos. I would think that once fighters gain that confidence from winning the title, they set other goals. They may want to break a defense record, or unify all the titles, or win titles in multiple weight classes, or rise up the p4p rankings, or in most cases, position themselves for big money fights.

Had he unified the belts, there would be little room for debate. Boxing is the most subjective sport in the world. Holding all the belts wins pretty much every argument, though.

It does win every argument, I just don't think it's necessary for me to decide who's the best.

It helps, don't get me wrong. But i'm happy calling martinez the best without him fighting chavez, dib, pirog and sturm.

My issue with undisputed is it leaves to many variables.

Should I be less impressed with taylor because he had two belts stripped from him despite winning all 5 in the ring?

Or ali in the 70's had all 3 belts but got gift after gift after the thriller. Should I be impressed with him just because 2 men at ringside think he deserved to win?

In my opinion, the only thing I would want to achieve is to have my own Wikipedia Page, with the record that they have underneth.

Well the boxer won't give a **** about my opinion, but if i'm judging a fighter's career, my opinions on the fights and their worth are absolutely the most most important thing to me.

E.g if i'm judging the career of young, i'd use my opinions on his big fights (winning the shavers rematch and beating ali and george but losing to ken) rather than the official decisions.

Young from ali-norton was the best fighter in the division for me despite him not having a belt and not getting the official nod.

the most important thing for any boxer to do (in my opinion) is to entertain me with their boxing.

when it comes down to a boxer looking back on their career those tangible events like title wins etc will probably mean the most to them.
