Even if GGG becomes WBC,WBA and IBF middlweight champion, he would have a hard time to get a fight with Canelo, WBO Saunders, Jacobs or even Eubank Jr.

Canelo is just yapping that May-Pac took 5 years to happen, so he probably thinks this fight should wait as long. GGG would be 39 y/o.:nut:patsch

Saunders would stay in UK and milk his belt against domestic level opponents.

Jacobs, probably is gonna fight Quillin as many times his handler says.

Eubank Jr. is gonna milk his status in UK against british mw fighters.

    :-(

I hope this time WBC respect their own rules and strips Canelo if he refuses to defend his title against Golovkin @ 160 lbs.

Gigi will keep milking that 'nobody wants to fight me' routine and ride off into the sunset with the weakest resume in MW history.

GGG doesn't have that dare to be great DNA.

He'll stay in his place like a good boy and not make any waves.

No one with a good name from middlweight don't want to risk his status against the middleweight king which is a shame. All are duckers.

He's 3 KO wins away from overtaking Wilfredo Gomez' record ko defenses, and 5 wins away from overtaking Borenard's record middle defenses.

I wouldn't call this going nowhere.

    :hi:

People would bash GGG even after he'd demolish Canelo and Saunders. They would want to see him fighting Ortiz and Fury to prove himself.:nut:patsch

Sorry , intercontinental trinkets don't count. He's one win into matching Nards IBF record of 20. He's not even close to matching Arthur Abraham's run.

And Deontay Wilder has more KO's.

Canelo was beaten 12- nothing by a welter at the end of his career.

Whats so great about killer middle weight GGG beating such an opponent?

That's great. He is talented...but, he is not cut from the same cloth as BHOP. He won't move up 3 divisions and be considered (at age 50) the best win of the current #2 P4P.

They have different talents and mentalities; Gennady is a seek and destroy machine with a much bigger punch than Bernard; he wouldn't need 11 rds to KO Trinidad.

He doesn't have Hopkin's frame allowing him to add pounds efficiently. Moving up would diminish his efficiency.

    Different fighters, different qualities.

There's a reason Hagler never moved up either.

    WTF, dude

Gennady has made 15 defenses of his WBA title, all by KO.
Nard has a record 20 middle title defenses.
Abraham has 11 defenses of IBF middle title.

    Dunno
Maybe it's the way he beats them (up) ? :hey
And without any outside help - ahem.PEDS.ahem-.

    :deal

i really like GGG and has all my respect but i need to see him against someone that has another level than the opposition he already faced until then he is going to be like a cult boxer for us but i want him to see against someone make the fight horrible like Lara and se if he can be versatile, at the end i am not a big canelo fan even if i am mexican, but trout, lara, maywheather, kirkland and cotto are so far a better cv and credibility cheques than whoever has golovkin, so i think we can focus more is push golovkin for better opposition instead to put him a martir of boxing.
