Can’t argue this but Toney was notorious for not training seriously sometimes

Maybe. JT is more of a counterpuncher. I was more referring to a fighter like Murata or Fullmer that try to win by attrition.

A 3rd fight with Canelo would take a lot out of GGG whether he was stopped or not.
He should retire and go out on a high- one of the best fighters of his generation and still better than most at 40

Agreed. You said a ‘sack of potatoes’, that means going down heavy and fast.

Again, I am talking about fighters like Murata and Fullmer that try to win a firefight. Toney is a counterpuncher not a banger.

I’m getting teary-eyed the respect these 2 have for each other and how GGG gave Murata his robe… True warriors!

You understand the irony of calling him 'Lil G' and then complaining that he fights smaller fighters, right?

It reminded me of the savage beating Loma put on Nakatani. That was way more one-sided but Loma just beat every ounce of the fight out if him, also in 9 rounds, and like Nakatani, Murata just physically could not take anymore.

GGG will have no chance in the Canelo rematch.

Still, he's a warrior and deserve his paycheck. Hope he doesn't get too much damage there.

The guy who proved the most to me tonight was Murata. I didnt think hed go past 6, but he showed alot of heart and toughness tonight and my estimation of him as a fighter has gone up.:applaudit:

He's an average-sized middleweight and was physically smaller than Murata tonight wtf are you talking about?
