He’s a tough man, a true warrior. I will be a fan of his from here on out. I think this fight raised his stock and profile. He’s 36 but has low mileage. He isn’t retiring. He’ll have another chance for belts at some point. Division isn’t super deep.

Another good question — do you think I care if Golovkin possesses more wealth than Andre Ward, lives in a bigger Big Boy Mansion or has more supercars in his garage? Why are GGGuys bragging on how much money GGG makes? Isn't that what Floydboys (rightly) used to be pilloried for?

 

Well, he's got a point. Davis' post-Pedraza opposition has been consistently dismal to middling.

This should be the case. A loss for Canelo @175 would affect his PFP standings but should have no effect on his standing at 168 where would still hold all the belts.

Well, their paths crossed in a sense, so any discussion about Golovkin and his career could potentially occasion a mention of Ward. I would guess Olu is the party responsible for evoking him in this instance, but it's not exactly unheard of for GGGuys to abritrarily snark in Andre's direction.

I suggest GGG goes into the fight against Clenelo guns blazing. If he can't knock him out in 2 rounds, quit because of an arm injury. The cards are stacked against GGG, he is 40, fighting a PED cheat, with zero chance of a decision win.

Clenelo doesn't get tired like he used to, looks like he doesn't have a neck anymore, and is ripped in a way that screams steroids.
