You're wrong, and you are badly embarrassing yourself. Read back through all the comments in this RBR thread, during the first three rounds. Find me ONE post with anyone saying Golovkin looked even "okay", let alone good. Fine me ONE post where anybody said he was "dominating" Rolls in the first three rounds. Carefully skim over all the posters that gave Rolls the second, that's fine (I still thought Golovkin won - but absolutely in no way shape or form "dominated" it)...you're still going to find that prevailing opinion was that Golovkin looked crap and Rolls had more success than he ought to have in the first three. You're wrong, and you're the one whose response in the aftermath here, spin-doctoring a bad performance (salvaged by a KO or not) against a bad opponent, is laughable...nothing "borderline" about it.

You've always walked a razor's edge of credibility on here with your clear, desperately reaching biases for "certain fighters (we both know what I mean by that, don't we? ;))" but in choosing to die on this one particular stupid little hill you're basically staking every scrap of cred you have, in a losing gambit.

GGG looked fine. Worked a few rds then hammered Rolls.

    Lets hope Clenelo is next

Even if you are GGG's #1 fanboy on the planet, the honorable thing here would be to just be intellectually honest enough to admit "this was a shite cherry picked opponent and GGG still looked shite for three rounds against him before bailing himself out...but hopefully this was just a one-off, maybe growing pains as he adjusts to Banks' coaching style or whatever...I still believe in my dude.."

THAT is an acceptable, appropriate response for a GGG fan to have to this fight.

He obviously worked. Give me a break. That was the purpose for Rolls and the new trainer Banks.

Roid boy next. Then we will see.

Going by the comments here I was expecting Golovkin to look worse than he did. He still had some glimpses of quality stuff.

Not that he looked like vintage Golovkin or anything close to either though

Hes definitely looking his age, but I think its to be expected given his miles and... erm.. age.

No true boxinghead should be suprised if Canelo stops or dominates him in the third fight. Jacobs too for that matter.

People were waiting to see how Golovkin would look vs a fighter of Rolls level again to really wait on calling Golovkin past it. Well... I think they got their answer.

He kinda looked like a fighter that was stuck between styles to me. Meaning, it looks like they worked really hard in camp on making it a 'thing' that Golovkin start moving his head more, but it looked forced and flawed, you could see him stuck thinking about doing it (imo), looked to me to interupt his natural offensive fluidity.

    Just imo though.

Lets do #3. Neither Clenelo or Jacobs would stop Golovkin. That's crazy talk.

He may be past it but the boy can still bang.

Clenelo and Jacobs looked like crap in their fight...if u can call it that

    My oh my !

    Temper, temper!

You're investing a lot of epistemological argument into something that clearly doesn't belong in that category.

Not since LukeO roamed the boards have I seen such confusion regarding the distinction between FACT and OPINION

Every time I see you tell another poster that he is embarrassing himself, I cringe a little.......for YOU.

You get a little overwrought when you get contradicted, don't you.

Well, that again would be a matter of opinion,in this instance, largely yours.

Frankly, I haven't a clue, if it even matters.

Next you'll be declaring the mother of all victories. And I'm sure you will get the reference.

I was done at your NO and my YES....back before you decided to write a thesis and fume some more.

BTW, I gave Rolls the second round, and was settling down to the interesting possibility of another interesting night at MSG.

I'll leave you with a quote from another analyst:

"I gave him an A+. He did what was expected of him, he broke his man down, and got him hurt. Then he finished him"

    Rolls has never lost.

    Rolls has never been KO'd.

Rolls is gritty and clearly has a decent chin.

Rolls probably had the best training camp of his life.

Rolls probably brought everything he could muster.

Rolls managed to land a few stiff jabs, a few good rights and some body work.

Then got horrifically Knocked The Mother****ing Hell Out.

    Nothing was exposed.

    GGG was disinterested.

GGG showed up for the paycheck.

    GGG phoned it in.

Yet still.... GGG did his thing.

    GGG playing Possum!!

No Canelo fight forever if he dominates, struggle with a Rolls type guy, secure a Canelo fight, they're already chatting (Golden Boy & Canelo) that "GGG has aged overnight", "time for another rematch!" lmao
