What the **** are you talking about you shitbag? No one made a goddamn comparison. I said Canelo didn't look spectacular against Jacobs. AND HE DID NOT. He gassed badly, and that was after Danny did NOTHING for six rounds, and was rocked by a few shots Danny landed, he hid it well. If that was GGG in there with that version of Canelo. I'm not sure Canelo would have seen the final bell. You're not a GGG fan, you shut the **** up. An as a GGG fan I'm looking forward to it as well. In fact, I can't ****ing wait.

GGG looked poor. All this new style talk overlooks the fact that, in the same building, he boxed the ears off David Lemeiux four years ago. He was ponderous on his legs tonight.

But maybe this was his Holyfield/Czyz performance. Guess we'll find out.

No one compared Rolls to Jacobs. Just that Canelo didn't look too hot either. And yeah, GGG's been off for almost a year, and at this age, with a new trainer, working on some things against a guy like Rolls, who was present and accounted for in the most important match of his life, probably wasn't a good idea. GGG was rusty, then shook off the rust and went into kill mode. It happens. GGG won't bring anything new to the Canelo rematch, and Canelo won't either. They're pick up right where they left off, thy know each other so well now, it'll be like putting on a comfortable pair of shoes.

If his legs are gone, which they might be, he has little chance. And I scored the first two for GGG.

Adama lasted 7 rounds, Ouma lasted 10, Rosado lasted 7. And yeah, sure... all of them would probably beat Rolls, but the reality is, the first two aren't all that much better. And this is a waaay older GGG we're talking about.

I saw no evidence his legs were gone. He was rusty, then shook off the rust.

Maybe, maybe not. Neither you nor I knows whether his poor outing was due to circumstances or whether he's fading physically. We've seen guys get old from one fight to the next, and we've seen ring rust/complacency be the culprit as well. But he had more bounce in his step even two years ago, much less four years ago.

That's pretty much what I've been saying, I hadn't read this yet.

Only thing that's annoying me, is the joyous reaction many seem to be having, when he still managed to win most of the rounds, while looking less than stellar, eventually found the old GGG by the 4th and took Rolls out. And people are shouting from the rooftops like its over. Reactions to what they view as his demise are greatly exaggerated. That is all.

only GGG can blast an undefeated fighter out in 3 rounds and people say he looked bad

Him being undefeated given the level of his opposition and number of fights he has in this case seems a bit meaningless. This was the very definition of a cherry pick against a subpar fighter and him being undefeated in this case is rather insignificant.

In my opinion Golovkin was practicing his new style and it was awkward to him.I knew it could happen and it did.By round 4 he said to hell with this and just fought like he usually does in killer mode, looping over hands lefts and set down on his shots.I believe he could've stopped rolls in 2 rounds if he wanted to. I also thought that GGG and Canelo fought great in the 2nd fight.Golovkin said in his interview after this fight that fighting the new style was too hard so he went back to what he knows.

People say Golovkin looked awful against Vanes as well, and look what happened after, he outboxed Canelo on the backfoot only to get robbed of a decision.

Golovkin is still a god, still an amazing specimen despite his age.
