I would love for GGG to show up and get a dynamic KO early and announce he’s moving to 168.

I think this is still a good fight with the inactive Japan star.

Thus I can easily see a draw but the judges award GGG.

Murata has a lot of energy, workrate and power. He will test Golovkin with those elements. If GGG has gotten old, Murata is going to **** him up.

Assuming GGG is still running smoothly, I think his tight defence weathers the worst of what Murata can bring and that his precision power-punches start visibly moving Murata by the halfway mark. Golovkin on points or late stoppage.

Poll is 33-2-1 for GGG, tells you how well-regarded he is to be so heavily favored to beat a solid MW titlist just a few months ahead of his fortieth birthday.

It'll be another fine notch in his belt; strangely enough this declining but still very capable version of GGG is building the very résumé his critics demanded when he was in the middle of his peak run on HBO. Jacobs, Derevyanchenko, and now Murata, plus a pair over Canelo had they been scored right, would be as good as the haters could have possibly asked for...and yet this GGG of the last five years, while still dangerous, has clearly lost a step h2h from the version 5-10 years ago.

We all know he was shamelessly ducked by many fighters during that peak run of his. I wouldn't blame GGG for that, the challengers only started coming out of the woodwork once he showed signs of decline.

And to be fair, he signed to fight Pirog; nobody could have foreseen that Grandmaster's back would give out before they could square up. That alone would have dispersed all notion that GGG had a weak résumé, at least among people who actually KSAB.

Phil Anselmo must have been cringing harder than almost anyone when that happened.

I think Murata will make a fist of it, but GGG is still to solid even @ this age for Murata to see the 12 round...canelo ,an embittered shill...what really hurts is HE Knows he's lying to himself...

Is GGG still an active fighter? I am not talking about movement I mean is he still fighting? Hope this fight happens but I’m probably not paying to watch it.

Last fight was december 2020. GGG soon will be 40.
However he is very experienced in am and pro ranks and watchable boxer.
Murata too is underrated and he is 35?

With Murata having his first fight in two years I personally just don't see him pulling off the upset.

Apparently Honda will try to register Golovkin as a special traveler and have him enter Japan.

Hope it works out for GGG and Ancajas.
