My point was more that Martinez had no choice in his final fight.

Maravilla simply struggled too much and too frequently at 160 to be favoured over GGG. He got put on the canvas in just about every fight he had at 160 and the ones where he didn’t (Barker and Pavlik), he still struggled with plenty. Martinez would have a few good rounds but Golovkin would get into range too consistently and start timing his jittery head movement and cutting off exits with hooks. GGG also loved to probe and tap with the jab before whipping with heavier shots and I think that would give the reactive counter-punching of Martinez fits. I think Golovkin is kind of an awful style for Martinez.

Sexy Sergio officially suffered 2 losses in a 23 year period, including a brief six year retirement after his 2nd loss

    1. Paul Williams I which was a robbery where he had a bogus KD counted against him by the home ref

And 2. Melon Head Miguel when his knees were absolutely shot to bits and had been in 3 gruelling wars at Brit Level in 3 of his previous 4 fights

So he was no joke and neither was his Argentine Slickness which is the gold standard for slickness when it comes to countries whose first letter is A

But the problem is he wouldn't be able to win via KO or stoppage because GGG was nigh on impossible to stop or render unconscious and his slickness whilst elite wouldn't be able to keep GGG off of him for the full duration of a 12 round bout. GGG via late TKO or KO

Agree with this it would have been a good fight but GGG would eventually get to him and stop him. You are right I think that GGG would time that jittery head movement and cut Sergio off. It would've been great to see while both were champions at 160.

Forgot to add "Sergio by aura" as one of the poll options.

I love Sergio, but GGG would have broken him down, stopped him between 7-9. That aint a knock on Sergio either, theres not many i wouldnt pick to survive vs a peak GGG. I think Martinez would look good in spells early, i just dont think he will survive the pressure and power. He will drown mentally and physically by the midway point and GGG will take him out.

Im glad Sergio is getting his props as a way of entertaining this match up. I feel like he doesnt get spoke about enough anymore.

They used maybe the only expressly sexy picture of Golovkin I've ever seen and I think they used AI to merge Sergio's face into Golovkin's to do it. That is scandalous and wrong, fanatical and insubordinate, defenestrated and churlish.
