Fights are won and lost in the ring. After the rematch GGG's face looked like it had been through a car crash. That happens from punches CJ, from real punishment dished out. GGG walked out of the arena like a beaten Man, and nothing you can say will change that. GGG was BEAT UP by Saul Canelo Alvarez Plain and Simple. You can cry robbery all you want but it won't change what happened in the ring that night when Canelo walked through GGG. GGG got beat UP Mexican Style !

GGG kicked Moo'a ass TWICE but got the shaft

 

Then why did GGG's face look all swollen after the rematch ? He had been in a war, he had been beaten up to the face and body like never before. You can try to make the argument that he somehow outpointed Canelo with jabs in the rematch, but you can't say he wasn't beat up badly. His face was beaten to a bloody pulp and he's still recovering from it.

 

Golovkin had never endured so much punishment. For the first time in his career he took almost a year off.

 

Sub par fight, nothing to sell it IMO.

Don't like these "tune up fights" in the industry full stop - laughable in the elite ranks of a world sport when you think about it.
