Golovkin has never faced an elite 160 pound fighter like Veins Martyrs before since he always ducks anybody ranked 9 and below in the middleweight division.

I expect a valiant effort and a total war, but A third round KO is inevitable, so Veins wins this by KO in the third round.

I'd love to see Khurtsidze get a shot but he's currently, suffice to say, indisposed.

    Odds have officially been published.

Golovkin is 1/16 (at the short end, most sites have significantly wider odds, as much as double that)
Martirosyan is 15/1 (at the long end, some as narrow as 11/1)

Jaime Munguia has sneaked his way onto this card, albeit much lower on the bill than he briefly thought he might be.

Ryan "Blue Chip" Martin also performing on the undercard.

Both are taking on the mighty and versatile TBA.

I can't believe they're still insisting on calling this card (and marketing it on all their promotional materials as) "Mexican Style II". :risas3:

Yeah, the 82% of voters certain he'll be kayoed when Danny Jacobs (the guy whose brutal kayo loss to Pirog is emblazoned in all our memories) went the distance with GGG while Martirosyan has never been even close to being stopped is kind of insulting.

Hence why my vote was for Golovkin on points. Even if Martirosyan shocks the world and outboxes Golovkin, there's very little chance of him not getting robbed again versus a star of this magnitude, if he couldn't even get the nod versus a 2013 Boo-Boo, nor a 2015 Jermell De'Avante Charlo.

''Jermallo is the truth. He the real deal. The Charlo brothers are the hottest things since sliced bread''

''Lara is the truth. Dayuum that dude is slick. GGG don't want that smoke with Lara.''

''Fight that LMW Lara you coward GGG''

Vanes gets robbed against them both but nah he ain't no good. And Jermello had 7lbs on Vanes. Real talk.

I wouldn’t be shocked if we see him start to fight a little more often without all the Canelo drama (assuming/hoping he doesn’t bend over backwards again for another fight with him).

Would it be that surprising to see him fight cinco de mayo, then Mexican Independence Day, then sometime in the winter (let’s say January) and again in May?

That would be four times in the span of a year.

Remember he fought Jacobs in March then GBP made him wait (didn’t he want to fight in June?) until September and then of course said if he fought in December there would be no rematch in May.

I do not believe GGG prefers fighting twice a year but when you are trying to get divas like Canelo and BJS in the ring with you, sometimes you need to wait.

A boxer’s career is extremely short. You only have so many good years to not only shape your resume but also make that money. This isn’t any other sport where you can get injured or benched and still make 100% of your salary. These guys need to be active to earn and the “Mayweather blueprint” has only worked for Mayweather.
