I think its the low $ whoever GGG fights has to take in order to make the fight happen on such short notice.

I agree in part with Isal, whoever GGG fights he should just move past Canelo at this point. Pick up a few more defenses, unify with BJS and retire.

I have a real feeling that when Canelo does come back to fight, he's not jumping in straight away in with GGG. Oscar will be looking for an easy touch for Canelo and sell it a year from now as the Mexican savior Canelos return to the ring.

Vanes was robbed against the heavily hyped, flavour of the month ''P4P entrant'' Jermello or was it Jermallo stepping in for his brother again?

Vanes was also robbed in the rematch against Lara who Tripple GGG Golovkin was ''ducking'' a Cuban slicking from.

Vanes dropped Boo Boo and lost a SD to him (to be fair I had Boo Boo winning that clearly IIRC), that's the same Boo Boo who Triple GGG Golovkin is ''ducking''

Vanes biggest weakness is his reluctance to let his hands go enough, whenever he does let them go he looks electric and he totally dominates his opponent. He would've won every single one of the fights he lost had he just let them go more and he would've won them decisively too, IMO.

Vanes beat Joe Greene who holds an amateur win over 2 x world amateur gold medalist and Olympic bronze medalist Abbos Atoev who in turn knocked out Kovalev, beat 1 x world amateur gold medalist and 1 x silver medalist, 2 x European gold, and current IBF LHW champ Beterbiev, who beat former CW champ Dortios, current WBO LHW champ Kovalev, and holds a win over current unified champ and Olympic gold medalist, world amateur gold & bronze medalist, and European gold & bronze medalist Usyk, and Atoev also beat Olympic gold medalist and 2 x IBF world champ DeGale who beat former SMW champ Bute, Dirrell, drew with Jack, and holds amateur wins over Olympic gold medalist Bakhtiyar Artayev who won his gold medal against Lorenzo Aragon conqueror of Floyd Mayweather and Vanes, bringing us full circle and thus Vanes gaining his revenge win over Aragon in a round about way).

Vanes also stopped Tureano Johnson on the outscored rule in round 3, Johnson lasted into the 12th against Derevyanchenko who Triple GGG Golovkin is ''ducking,'' and he beat Austin Trout x 2 who was robbed against Jermallo who Triple GGG Golovkin is also ''ducking,'', and he beat Berto, Shawn Estrada who holds a couple of wins over Danny Jacobs who Triple GGG Golovkin is ''ducking,'' and Estrada also beat Olympic gold medalist and WBA regular champ Ryota Murata, and Jarrod Fletcher who beat current WBC LHW champ Adonis Stevenson and current IBF SMW champ DeGale.

Yes Vanes is moving up from 154 but so would Lara have been who all the Triple GGG Golovkin haters were clamouring for him to face and so has Boo Boo has only just moved up from 154 too, who is another fighter Triple GGG Golovkin is ''ducking''

The 2 year layoff takes a little bit of the shine off of it, but it's still a superb match up and I feel the layoff will bring the best out of Vanes.

I thought it was Lara I that Martirosyan fanboys said he got robbed in? The draw, no?

The rematch I thought was considered a better night for Lara/worse for Martirosyan and not as controversial result, or at least that's how I thought I remembered it. :nusenuse:

What does this non-sequitur post have to do with the price of tea in China?

This is a thread about the upcoming Golovkin vs. Martirosyan fight, a topic you've failed to segue from or to gracefully.

All the people complaining: What do you want GGG to do? would u rather have him just completely sit this one out and not fight again for another 4-6 months?? Nobody else wanted to fight him. I live in LA and stub hub center is a really affordable place to watch fights, I've seen G fight there before.. good seats are only like $50-$75 bucks... It will be an awesome time im going damn it ...

Very silly that Spike is probably fighting a tomato can the night before this. No good reason whatsoever Golovkin vs. O'Sullivan couldn't have gone through, Loeffler should've just locked it down last week as soon as it became apparent that was the best option after Clenbuterol-gate.

Up for nine hours, the poll has Golovkin ahead 39-4 (35).

Martirosyan with a 9.3% share from respondents so far is doing 3% better than Spike in the poll that ran for the last ten days (throughout most of which O'Sullivan was the front-runner)
