That left uppercut and right hook of Góngora's are fantastic punches. He's also tough as old boots it seems. This is a fighter I can get behind. Gutsy performance.

Crazy apparently Gongoras coaches didn't think he was ready he only took the fight cause he was struggling to feed his family and they hoped he could pull off a miracle

That was a really good fight. Great finish. But someone needs to teach that referee to count to 10 before 20 seconds elapse. Those were two REALLY SLOW counts.

He started counting with 1:13 left in the round and waived it off at 1:02 having only got to SEVEN in his count. (LOL)

On the rear foot he's really good. Pretty unbalanced fighter. Not in terms of equilibrium, but in terms of he has bad skills and good skills. He does some things very well, and he does another ones like crap.

Yeah what the hell just noticing now. That was not a slow paced fight by any means, what a gas tank.

Now that was a fight! Competitive throughout, with a come from-behind victory by an underdog. Exactly why I love boxing!!

Gongora looks suspicous to me. He has super stamina. They should make a test.

That was superb, a wonderful fight. A crowd would've been going mad watching that, they should rematch in the future when that's allowed. Crazy how Gongora went from a cautious soft puncher to actually looking the stronger guy by the end. It's not like Akhmedov did much wrong, most guys would've been KO'd well before the halfway point with the amount of flush power shots he was landing. Good luck knocking out Gongora in the future.

I said it early in the RBR, he was just trying to get the distancing and timing right. I saw him trying to time Akhmedov's advances from the first round with that right hook. He's much wilier than many would think because he looks ungainly when he pivots away.

He has very little body fat to carry around, and he didn't have to kill himself to make weight, Ahkmedov looked much bigger in there. Nothing suspicious about it

Really good fight and match up. Akhmedov did really well in the first half of the fight but Gongora was very quick-handed and razor sharp with his attacks and he was also adept at blocking a lot of Akhmedov's shots with his arms and gloves and slipping under his hooks. I wasn't filled with confidence when I saw Banks was in Akhmedov's corner because even though he's a nice guy I don't rate him as a trainer and Akhmedov wasted a lot of energy hitting arms and gloves whereas Gongora was much more precise with his attacks and I knew he was going to finish Akmedov after dropping him with that beautiful uppercut because the surgical precision of his attacks was really impressive.

Well, he tried it, but it sounded more like “pop, pop, slip, sl-thump.”

Not if he doesn't learn how to block a shot or how to roll with punches. Some kind of goddamn defense. If that were Benavidez or Smith in there with him tonight, they'd have brutally KO'd him.... early. Also, he and everyone else needs to GET THE **** AWAY from Banks.:deal:
