Well, without wishing to get ahead of myself, I'm going out on limb and predicting he'll have lost in 3 weight classes come Sunday.

Man this fight actually has me a little nervous. I picked Golovkin to win and he should, but Curtis is one crazy dude from Brooklyn and he looks like he means business.

Eh, it's alright, especially for heavyweights, but not a pimple on the ass of Segura vs. Marquez, that's all. :deal

The statement my quoted post was in response to read:

"Perez-Abdusalamov makes it a great fightnight."

...which is just bananas. Just...no. No, no, no. Abdusallamov vs. Perez is a nice little bonus. Segura vs. Marquez makes it a great fight night.

Golovkin will feel Stevens out, then set him up with his timing. I am impressed with Golovkin's timing than I am with his speed and power.............

I wonder if Golovkin is preparing to move to 168. he looked bigger than usual in some training pictures before this fight.

I've seen both closely. Stevens is dangerous! but Golovkin is too strong. He has to be careful tho. This Stevens is calculating all the time. However if Golovkin is pnching like a monster i think Stevens will RUN early because he is going to get intimidated by those heavy bombs.

why do y'all assume it will be such a one sided beatdown.
GGG hasn't faced anyone credible at 160, leaves himself open to be countered often and can be loose with the D. Remember Rosado was backing him up until those cuts got too bad.
Should be a real nice scrap

Geez, even Rosado himself does not agree with you.

Meanwhile 50 cent is rooting for GGG:

Rosado backed him up for about a total of 30 seconds in the entire fight.

Even round 5 which some people bizarrely think Rosado won was simply a little less one-sided than the others.

Ah. I'll have to do a little research then, I'm as bad as anyone at ignoring the lower weight classes.

A quick glance at Boxrec tells me 2 experienced poss. top 10 Mexicans who look pretty well matched and can bang a bit. Already sounds good, I'll do a bit of 'tubing this pm.

    Cheers:good

He had some fights at HW as an amateur (which is kinda equivalent to Cruiser) - a 5'6" Cruiserweight ffs.

50 knows what's up! Or he just likes the fact that GGG is wearing his headphone brand (which are shite, btw).

dog gabes first fight at 160 was connecting and making ggg stop in his tracks or backup albeit not for 6-10 minutes but he had good flashes there with 154lb'er power body etc.

Don't get me wrong I would say GGG has a 75% chance to curtis 25%, mostly because GGG does almost everything better than Stevens. But stevens has crushing one punch KO power which could go against ggg. His defense is a little loose and he leaves himself to be countered often.
I think Golovkin win but it will be a good scrap
