    top 20 for sure.

I mean purely as a MW not overall, overall would not register inside the top 200.

Usually when a fighter is dominant the field gets overlooked as weak. In some instances that is true, but sometimes the best fighter is just a clear cut level above.
Golovkin has presided over a weak division - because the last generation of talent avoided him. Cotto and Martinez and Pavlik self destructed. Now unfortunately at 36 a new crop is emerging- or fortunately if you believe Golovkin can turn back the clock and still win- then it’s an opportunity. But with Deverexhenko (spelling), Charlo, Saunders on the scene - if GGG can beat two of those guys or one of them and ko Canelo I believe his standing will skyrocket when added to the Jacobs win.

I agree. But the Hearns fight is Hagler's salvation. The fact he won a war and great fight put him up there. It is amazing how one fight makes that difference.

that's what being absent during the early eighties does to you. and people like you arent embarrassed to pretend

I recall the time Hagler topped Sibbo & Scypion when he was ranked over Monzon but below Robinson

This is what not knowing facts does to you. I was there. I saw all his fights. I saw his fight with Sibson on ABC, even remember them saying there was a blizzard outside. If you don't know how to decipher what I said, me clarifying it does nothing. That is the era I love and Hagler is one of my favorite fighters, but he defended his title many times like many guys in history have done and did well, but the Hearns fight is the fight he will always be remembered for because it confirmed what the other title defenses showed, but could not prove, similar to GGG now. GGG needs his signature fight to prove those defenses are supported by a win over a another great. Although Hagler never moved up to fight Spinks, which to me was hypocritical. Sibson was good, Hamsho good... Better than anyone GGG has fought except for Canelo or Jacobs,,,and I think Hamsho might have been better than Jacobs, but the Hearns fight is Hagler's legacy. No matter what. He was not given much attention or credit until he fought and beat Hearns (well not attention to what Marvin wanted since he took it personally when Hearns was given a chance to beat him), and then it all came to him and what he wanted. To Marvin respect was everything. He got deodorant commercials, pizza hut, coke after Hearns. And I think he lost motivation after he got the recognition. He did his best when people said he could not do it. Then he took off a year.. Had the fight postponed with Mugabi, but still won, another year lost to Ray. If you think beating good guys like Fully Obel. or Vito in the rematch, or Caveman Lee gets him a legacy. It would have been discarded later. That fight with Hearns put the exclamation on his career.. It showed his commitment to the sport..The cherry on the top of the career. Like he said at the post fight press how sweet it is. He knew. A great fight and taking punches and getting cut and coming out on top.. Perfect timing to his career.

Not in the top 10 yet, he needs at least Canelo AND another big/super fight on top of that to break in
