That was years after the matter was up for discussion. Ward had moved to LHW by then.

Here's a couple of articles of when Ward was at 168:

Golovkin wanted that fight when he had few good options at 160. After GGG gained recognition the split was not acceptable to Ward.

GGG "wanted" a fight at 168 when Ward had moved to 175. When Ward actually was at 168 only a catchweight of 164 for was acceptable for GGG (after Sanchez had claimed he'd face anyone at 168). Go figure.

Golovkin wanted Ward around 2013, when Ward was having his little catfight with Goossen.

Once MW opened up Golovkin started getting better fights. Why would Golovkin in 2015 agree to Ward's demands?

Ward proposed a 50-50 split which was rejected. The offer also stated that GGG would go ahead with his fight against Lemieux while Ward had a tune-up. . It was completely shot down by Golovkin and his team

So you admit Ward didn't want GGG at 168.
    1) Why is it Golovkin, an average middleweight, who has to move up in weight 2 classes to fight Ward? I never heard Ward offering to go to 160.
    2) Ward was literally wrapping his career up. If he wanted Golovkin he could have returned to the weight he;d spent his whole life at.
    3) Ward could have had the fight years before but refused it. His shoulder ached or some crap.

    Golovkin on Ward, 2015:

""Hey, Ward, wake up! Why are you talking trash about other people? Speak for yourself. If you're trying to make a name for yourself by mentioning me to build up your own fight, then be a man about it and tell the truth. At our meeting with HBO they asked us whether we are ready to box. You know our answers - I said yes, you said no. You said something about your shoulder or promoter - I'm not interested in the reason, I only heard your "no.""

You claim that Golovkin wouldn't be a top-30 LHW in the 1940s, and when someone asks you to name 30 you would rate above him... you reply with a silly "you do it"! Really - you can't do better than that?

Certain people are not happy that Golovkin refused to make stupid decisions like Dawson and Kovalev did.
    Equal split @168.

You are a turd, dino. I am sure you already know all this but your brain cannot absorb any of it.

I happen to think that Golovkin would have done well north of 160, but without seeing it, you can never really be sure.

Insults already? That means your feeling defeated and insecure..You are you anyway , identify yourself?

Regarding the 50-50 split. How TF is that a demand?? What would you call GGG trying to pull a catchweight on an inactive Ward.. Do you know anything about boxing? :nut:

The deal Kovalev got was nowhere near as good but Kovalev accepted it because he actually wanted the fight and believed he could win.
Golovkin never wanted anything to do with Ward , hence the rejection of a fair and honest 50- 50 split

Sanchez said GGG would fight anyone at 168. Ward said "let's do it" and then GGG:s team didn't want to go higher than 164. Ward's demand was nothing more than that they live up to what they said.

Wake up, professional boxing is a business. Kovalev took the fight and got paid peanuts after getting jobbed.
Boxers don't fight to satisfy terminally online people, like you, who hate them.
He wanted the fight when he first came to America.
    Was Sanchez his manager?
Get your timeline correct first. 164, 50:50 was offered around 2015 when GGG was looking at a potential Ginger payday.
