One last time. Sanchez said GGG would fight anyone at 168 and Ward took him up on it, but then he'd all of a sudden not go north of 164.

Then when Ward had moved up to 175 he all of a sudden wanted 168. It doesn't get much more transparent than that.

He had the chance to live up to the boast of facing anyone at 168 when an inactive Ward was still at that weight. But he didn't fancy it.

I've repeated this quite a few times already, so this will be the last one.

Not in 2015, Loeffler did not say such a thing.
You have repeatedly got the chronology wrong.

Golovkin would have earned a career high payday against Ward in 2015. . Remember how GGG chased Cotto? Well Cotto was never in a million years going to give him a 50-50 split , but GGG would have still happily fought Cotto for less.
When you reject a 50 -50 split and demand a catchweight , you do not want to fight. Simple as that.
Its frustrating for you having your lies debunked.. Hence the animosity.

Ward had little to no star power, he never did.

No, Ward did not. Remember this

""Hey, Ward, wake up! Why are you talking trash about other people? Speak for yourself. If you're trying to make a name for yourself by mentioning me to build up your own fight, then be a man about it and tell the truth. At our meeting with HBO they asked us whether we are ready to box. You know our answers - I said yes, you said no. You said something about your shoulder or promoter - I'm not interested in the reason, I only heard your "no.""

So Golovkin has to give Ward, who can't draw flies to ****, a 50% split of the purse AND fight at a higher weight that suits Ward? GTFOH. If Golovkin offered to fight Mayweather at 160 for a 50% split of the purse he'd be laughed out of the building and rightly so, because Mayweather brings the money. Remember Ward giving Brand $30000 while he took $850000? :ohno F Ward, that cheapskate diva. It's clear that Ward was trying to impose unacceptable demands on Golovkin to get out of the fight.

Yes. The fight was there at the weight that Ward had demanded, if Ward wanted it. He didn't.

It's ... it's almost like Golovkin had better things planned out, like unifying middleweight and defending his titles! OMG shame on him for not dropping everything to suit a low-rent diva who nobody wants to watch fight at the best of times.

I can repeat this as many times as you want.

I was wondering who wrote that Golovkin would make a (lol) career high payday against Ward and then saw it was Dinolusional. Explains everything  If Ward was a fresh juicy turd on the lawn, those flies would drift on by looking for fresher pastures :deal:

I believe Ward wanted to fight GGG in 2015, but only if everything was in his favor.
Like Dawson, Brand and Kovalev did.

That was the one where Ward sent GGG an offer just after he'd signed with Lemiuex for a title unification  Yeah I'm darn sure Ward would have fought him for 50% of a purse that GGG earned  The split should have been more like 90-10 or 80-20 in my opinion.

The Lemieux fight timing was not the issue. Ward would have fought him afterwards.
The issue would always be the money split and other things.

I think this from Ward in 2015 is quite spot on:

“Now, if the shoe was on the other foot, if I said ‘I’m going to 75, and I’m not gonna touch Kovalev, I’ll fight this guy and that guy, but if I fight Kovalev he’s gotta come to 170 or 172’ – can you imagine what the headlines would read? And if my trainer and my promoters were talking like they talk, but there was no action – can you imagine what the headlines would read?”

All in all GGG has had a fairly disappointing career for someone of his ability, I think. The guys he was facing before Jacobs were too low quality and after Jacobs he's faced only two opponents of note. Compare that Loma's much shorter time as a pro. Not saying it's GGG:s fault, but it is what it is.

Fights against Callum Smith , Charlo and Andrande have been presented to GGG and he has turned them down. . As if there isn't an abundance of factual evidence out there already that proves he avoided Ward , his reluctance to face top opponents since Canelo is even more proof.

Furthermore , you'd have to believe GGG would beat Ward if you're going to argue that Ward ducked the fight.. Fact is . . None of these guys ever wanted to see that fight when Ward was doing everything he could to make it happen. There was a million excuses why GGG shouldn't take the fight back then.
So Ward went up and took on the type of challenge GGG avoided throughout his entire career.

The whole thing is just a bit strange to me:

2012 Sanchez says GGG will face anyone at 168 and around this time (probably late 2012 or early 2013) GGG says he wants to face Ward, when Ward is about to have surgery.

2015 Ward comes back with an offer, but then only 164 will do for GGG.

2017, when Ward has moved up to 175, then GGG wants to fight him at 168.

Make of that what you will.

Golovkin was brought on astoundingly poorly and slowly compared to Lomachenko, yeah. Part of it was being avoided to a point, but then again, Lomachenko is a more daunting prospect p4p and he never really struggled to get meaningful fights right from the off. Golovkin was just mismanaged in comparison and pissed away his prime fighting no marks, and his prime was never likely to be the longest because of his extensive amateur career anyway. He was slowly slipping from before the Murray fight imo. It's made his peak h2h ability harder to assess than most for me. His team wanted no part of Ward on a serious level whatever the noises were. I agree with @Bokaj.
