15-20 is fair unless he has the longevity of Archie and stinks out the division for years taming young lions.
    (I personally hope he does)

Then he may very well just demand a higher amount of recognition.

I'm not sure GGG is a lock for top 10 middleweight as MW is a very deep division with a lot of great fighters over the years, but he can be placed in the top 20 middleweights. Is he higher, top 15? Very possibly. He has a reasonable claim to be in the 11-15 tier, imo.

Middleweight is a meaty division with a lot of really great fighters. If you like putting emphasis on H2H he might crack the top 10. I do think his resume is probably a little underrated by some, but even so from a legacy stand point he struggles to crack the top 20

GGG will be first ballot hall of fame enshrinee.

It was his misfortune that more famous welterweights and jr middles such as Mayweather, and Pacquaio did not move up to 160 and fight him. IMO GGG creams them if these fights would have happened.

It is also his misfortune that the lineal champion Martinez didn't want to fight him either. GGG was clearly robbed in the first Canelo fight.

GGG will be 38 in less than a month. He should retire.

Top 10 head to head for me. Legacy wise he has record for most consecutive title defenses at middleweight, was never floored, was highly ranked pound for pound fighter, and was one of the best puncher'e ever at 160 pounds.

He had some awesome performances but how do you rate his opposition ? Not sure I see anyone he’s beaten as being that great

GGG is a top 20 MW all time for me, possibly top 15.

Middleweight is a very deep division historically though. Top 15-20 is pretty good in itself. I'm not sure he's top 10 all time based on his resume. Head to head he would be formidable for almost anyone.

I think Golovkin would have beaten Sergio Martinez and I thought he beat Canelo in the first fight. He's beaten everyone he fought, imo. He's a little unfortunate, I think, in that he got his biggest fights a little late, but I'm not convinced the division was always the strongest in his time either.

GGG is a very good fighter.

No one ever made a serious argument on any of my threads that he cracked something like 48, so what's he done since then? No, he's arguably a top fifty but middleweight ain't no heavyweight. He's way behind for a middleweight, sorry.

Is it? I'm a fan but who's your top 50th and when did he surpass them, out of curiosity.

Here's a dozen, in no particular order, that I'll just list off the top of my head:

    1. Roy Jones Junior
    2. Mike McCallum
    3. James Toney
    4. Michael Nunn
    5. Sumbu Kalambay
    6. Randolph Turpin
    7. Charles McCoy
    8. Jeff Smith
    9. Marcel Cerdan
    10. Nino Benvenuti
    11. Georgie Abrams
    12. Emile Griffith

And note that this^ doesn't include the bigger guns of the division's history.
