Gennady Golovkin bringing back boxing to the masses

    As is said above, the masses (casual viewers) want to see KO's and toe to toe fighting.

    However, that doesn't mean GGG brought boxing back to the masses because not everyone is going to do what Brook did and stand there and trade punches. Plus, PPV has taken boxing away from the masses, regardless of what GGG or any other boxer does in the ring.

    Very few casual viewers will pay £15-20 to watch a fight and terrestrial TV simply doesn't support the sport (financially) enough to allow the masses to tune in when they feel they might be entertained.

    Boxing is a sport for sports fans now and little more (certainly in the US and UK anyway).

    Find a boxer who KO's everyone in the first 3 rounds and you'll still not be able to say they've taken the sport back to the masses of the 70's and 80's.

    With Anthony Joshua, he's the future "name" of boxing. They'll be the biggest superstars if they keep winning but also if they lose probably. People loves those styles.

    They get in the ring to fight, not just to steal a victory
