Im not claiming Canelo has ridiculous one punch KO power, but he was definitely not slapping. Look at how Golovkin reacts to the punches. Yes he keeps following Canelo around the ring, but every combo Canelo lands has Golovkin stumbling.

Also, its Golovkin who was pushing his punches with no real power. Canelo took GGGs saftey punching with ease.

    You high?

I doubt Floyd has the chin to take those punches....

    Hence his defence is outstanding.

I really like this Golovkin, I like the way he is talking, he sounds like he wants to do a real number on Canelo.

Golovkin is normally far too nice for my liking, he actually looks upset this time and I believe a nasty and spiteful Golovkin is a far more dangerous fighter for Canelo.

This. Canelo is no Stevens or Lemieux but its clear that he has above average power when he sits on his shots. Whether that qualifies as a "hard puncher" is debatable, but I prefer placement over brute force and its clear that Canelo is both fast and accurate.

Small beat up Cotto took his bombs fine. So he's not a huge puncher.

Canelo hit hard enough to keep GGG very cautious however

Errrrrrrr????? Im trying to think back to any time i have ever ever disagreed with an opinion held by Golovkin. I cant, but i have now. Canelo is a heavy puncher. His jabs and none commited hooks may be nothing more than taps but when he wants to bang he bangs.

But then as ive said recently, Golovkin is on the wind up for the 1st time in his career hes throwing **** Canelo's way he isnt usually like this. Id say Canelo getting popped has got to GGG and hes stuck the knife in, well technically Canelo stuck it in himself by getting popped, but Golovkin is looking to twist it when he wants. Which i like cuz Canelo and Oscar and WBC and NSAC are all corrupt scumbag cheats.

The kid has decent power but when he faces legit tough guys like Cotto, GGG and heck Ill even toss in Chessburger Jr, he can’t close the show by TKO or KO

Of course Canelo is a bigger puncher at Middleweight than he was 5 years ago vs Floyd, not only a bigger puncher but also a more confident puncher.

That said, Floyd was extremely wary of Canelo's power when they fought. If you watch that fight, from the opening bell Floyd was pulling back hard with his upper body every time Canelo would throw punches.

So it's not accurate to say that Floyd just took Canelo's punches with ease like he just stood there and took Canelo's punches and his face just absorbed them. Floyd is a much better defensive fighter than Golovkin, and he was in tip top shape when he fought Canelo, so Canelo wasn't able to land the kind of punches on Floyd that he landed on Golovkin. So, it's not a 1:1 comparison, Floyd fought a completely different fight vs Canelo than Golovkin did. Floyd was pulling back with his upper body when Canelo threw punches, at times was able to counter punch Canelo, and this resulted in Floyd not taking very many flush hard shots from Canelo, unlike Golovkin, who did take several flush shots form Canelo, as GGG was an easier target for Canelo than Floyd was.
