I wonder who the possible opponent could be. Maybe John Ryder? I presume this will be at 168.

Edit: Apparently Sergio Martinez is the frontrunner.

GGG vs. Gorilla would be very feel, especially with the stakes being "go out on a W or an L" for GGG and "this loss is probably the final nail in the coffin for you contending again" for the Gorilla.

GGG vs Martinez in 2023 is almost supernatural, but hey better late than never....I suppose.

GGG should come out to this given it's his final fight. :chuck:

He needs to pick an older fighter rather than risk what Cotto and others did. Guy doesn't need to be credible, either, because no one is watching this for legacy or championship implications. It just needs to be a win.

GGG vs Eubank Jnr would be a great fight. In his prime I would favour Golovkin but my money would be on Eubank now.

Sadly I suspect that you are right. It's gonna be a soft touch for his final fight for sure which is sad but understandable.

Golovkin did not come to fight in the the third fight. That was just as fixed as the Kovalev fight, just not as obvious (still obvious)

GGG did better than Smith, Saunders, Plant and Ryder at 40.

Probably an easy opponent as a farewell fight, as I had predicted. No one wants to retire on a lost.

Sad for him to retire though for the last few years he seemed semi retired anyways, his age caught up too soon & his desire was gone before even that sadly.

It was the first time someone could say it was a lousy fight.Golovkin is synonymous with excitement.

True, if he wasn't Golovkin he couldn't have fought at half speed and still went the full 12. I don't think he needs another fight unless he comes to blast somebody out. Maybe he should take out Berlanga.

Berlanga would be the kind of opponent Ggg usually has favored & Berlanga himself wants it as well, that would be decent but CEJ would be the better choice.
