    Golovkin is on the cusp of supers****om and yet he's willing to give Andre Ward, who can't sell more than 50 seats, a 50-50 split. Fair would be 80/20 split w/ Triple G taking the lion's share. Andre Ward's been fighting at catchweights, so he should have no problem agreeing to 164... Triple G goes up 4, Ward comes down 4.

    Indeed. Golovkin is the one selling the tickets and drawing in the viewers thus GGG deserves more of the people's money. Supply and demand.

    I don't like the new diva antics from Golovkin.
    50/50 is kinda generous but this catchweight sh*t has gotta stop now.
    Every damn fight nowadays is fought at a catchweight while there are too many weightclasses already. Every big(ger) name seems to have his very own weightclass now. :-(

    I don't think he really has request a catchweight as these are not true negotiations. This is just a message from Golovkin to let Ward know he's A-side.

    Its a statement that for GGG to give up more in weight to the lesser draw, he wants more of the money. People get way too excited over this, just wait and see who he fights next and at what weight.

    If its a low grade fight, or does make Ward drop to 164 then feel free to pillory him.

    Ward should really offer to come all the way down to 160 and offer to fight in Golovkin's back garden for a much less split.

    It's only the same as what Dawson did for him. :yep

    Ward cant make 164,move on.He will only fight in Oakland anyway so why bother ? If Kovalev agrees to go Jokeland at cw 172 or so they might make it.
