If indeed De La Joya has all that influence that he describes then any boxer who fights against a De La Joya favorite is definitely screwed.

What I find rather baffling is the unwavering conviction that Canelo won't be able to deal with the Golovkin jab.

That doesn't do justice to whole situation. Jacobs in the opinion of many has a case for victory although like most scorecards, they are 1 round in favour of Golovkin.
We've all been talking about matchups between Hopkins and Golovkin for example, Jacobs despite being bigger (still a consistent Middleweight at a weight that Golovkin is physically strong at and not small for), turned out to give Golovkin all he could handle and Jacobs has never been looked at in that tier.

Golovkin looked like **** against Brook and didnt look spectacular in another.

It isn't and he was severely criticized for it by Mexicans themselves.

Canelo even refused the WBC commemorative belt for the Canelo/Chavez fight.

Canelo is a Mexican who wont be forced to do anything, especially for a corrupt sanctioning body like the WBC that has become a joke.

As you can see Canelo-GGG is for for the WBA and IBF belts, not for the WBC.

Respect for Canelo for having principles and proving that the fighter can and is greater than the ABC belt.

lol so let me get this straight : it's strange for me to offer Farmboxer a box of tissues for his constant crying and paranoia? It's perfectly acceptable for Farmboxer to constantly flood the forum with nonsensical rants likening Boxers to farm animals and "using one's pecker" to "peck Golovkin to the testicles and see Tony Weeks stop the fight on testicle TKO". That's all perfectly normal to you, but I'm the strange one for offering Farmy a box of tissues? It's probably about time for you to re-evaluate your life and priorities!

Jacobs arguably beat Golovkin so whatever. Golovkin was looked at as a challenger to someone like a prime Hopkins. Obviously he'd get owned.

lmao literally defending a poster who posts nothing but nonsensical ramblings likening boxers to farm animals, talking about "using one's pecker" to "peck fighters in the testicals", believes that there's some vast conspiracy orchestrated by DLH to pay off all judges, commisions, commentators, lol. Literally thinks that Kovalev wasn't in serious trouble vs Ward, wasn't getting brutalized to the body, doesn't know the difference between a belt-line shot and a nut shot, didn't think Kovalev was about to get seriously hurt if Tony Weeks didn't step in and save him, thinks not only did Ward hit Kovalev directly in the nuts repeatedly, but thinks that somehow means that Canelo is going to do the same to Triple G.

This is just for starters, and you're actually defending this guy as "a very reputable poster", saying I'm strange for offering the hopeless Farmy a box of tissues? The only thing I can rely on Farmboxer for is his constant crying when his fighter loses and hearing him prepare himself mentally in every thread for a Canelo decision win. This has a real chance of just unraveling big time next months so kinda like watching a train wreck it’s hard to really look away from some of these posts. One thing all this does is to certainly add to the buildup to the Super Fight, there’s no doubt about that.
