There are plenty of idiots who don't know **** about boxing and are easily duped or biased and don't pay close enough attention to detail to understand why Canelo vacated the title. The WBC has embarrassed itself over and over again. Canelo wasn't gonna play fiddle to Sulaiman's absurd demands giving him timetables. It's shows weakness to actally think that his mexican fans hold it against Canelo that he dropped the title. The only people who hold that against him are brain-dead Triple G fanboys. Canelo's Mexican fans, neutral observers, and possibly some Triple G fans who are not brain-dead zombies just wanted to see the fight happen and could careless about titles. True boxing fans care more about in-ring results than boxing politics and organizations giving fighters timetables, stripping titles from fighters and handing them over to other fighters. The hardcore boxing fans values the Lineal Title far more than other alphabet titles because the only way to win a Lineal Title is in the ring. You can't be handed a Lineal Title like Sulaiman did with Triple G, it's a freakin embarrassment how Sulaiman disrespected Canelo and handed the title over pathetically to Triple G. Anyone who can't see that don't know jack **** about boxing.

That title belongs in the bin after that crap they pulled on Canelo. And some Triple G fans have the nerve to say that DLH has the commisions in his pocket. What the WBC did to Canelo completely destroys that argument.

The lineal title is intended to be the man who beat the man who beat the man.

The reality is there are more holes in the lineage of the middleweight lineal title than swiss cheese.

Wait..which crap do you mean? You mean the crap they pulled by actually enforcing GGG mandatory status after the Khan fight? A mandatory that Canelo knew was due when he signed to fight Cotto. That he knew was due but all parties agreed to one interim fight so Canelo decides to fight Khan. I can't remember for sure, but at the time I believe Oscar was quoted as the fight being 90/10 so GGG decide to enforce the mandatory and the mandatory split that goes with it. Is that the crap you mean??

What I see is a lot of scared fanboys making excuses, even saying Golovkin is all but shot.

Obviously Im rooting for Canelo, but if Golovkin proves to be better than cheers to him.

I give Canelo the edge against Golovkin, I feel he's a more complete fighter. This fight will define both men no doubt.

As far as the Canelo vacating the belt, everyone but a few haters seem to have moved on. Especially now that the fight has been signed.

No, not enforcing the mandatory, the crap was giving Canelo a 15-day timetable following the Khan bout to agree to terms and threatening to strip him of the title if he didn't comply. A 15-day timetable was not part of the agreement to have the mandatory enforced following the Khan bout. That was done by the WBC, and it was also something that Triple G himself was talking about when he was interviewed in the crowd at the Khan fight. It sounds to me like the WBC attempting to influence the split as to give Triple G a bigger piece of the pie than he otherwise would have gotten was a part of all that, but I don't claim to know what the split would have been had the WBC been involved vs not being involved, but the fact is that the WBC was essentially in cahoots with Triple G. Sulaiman was clearly doing everything possible to influence negotiations and the split so it would be more even (which would benefit Triple G) than it would have been otherwise, since obviously Canelo was the bigger name and the bigger draw. This obvious reality also completely destroys the argument that DLH has everything including the commissions in his pocket. Obviously DLH didn’t have Sulaiman or the WBC in his pocket or Canelo wouldn’t have been given an ultimatum like such a ridiculous 15-day timetable to have to agree to terms and splits that would favor Triple G or be stripped of the title.

So Canelo felt that he was about to be exploited and vacated the title? How was he about to be exploited?
