It does matter all of those guys walk around more than pbf does. Most of them drain themselves to fight at 140. If pbf drained himself he could fight at 140 to.

If Golovkin was asking Floyd to fight at 160, then Floyd would be (justifiably) ducking a middleweight. Since, Golovkin is willing to come down to 154, where Floyd holds a title, incidently, Floyd is ducking a light middleweight.

In short, it is one light middleweight ducking another light middleweight.

If Floyd feels guys who make the 154 lb weight limit are too big for him, he should relinquish his title and leave the division. What he appears to want, however, is to be thought of as the best at 154 lb while denying challengers a fight on this basis of them being too big, but the fighters aren't too big if they can make the weight limit.

If he needs to drain himself to 140 then he is not a Jr Welter. Stop contradicting yourself it weakens your argument and makes you look
    really ignorant.:patsch

Floyd hasn't fought at 140 in 9 years. He had to raise the weight of a catchweight fight that was listed above 140 at the last minute because he couldn't make it.

    Dude's a welterweight, period.

floyd has beat a washed up blow-up ww cotto, one of the most overrated 154s in alvarez and a good win over dlh six years ago.

thats his entire resume at 154.

if ggg and floyd were to fight at 160 mayweather's objective in the fight after four rounds would be simply to survive.

The fight was listed at 144. Floyd doesn't claim he can make 140. He said in a recent fight hype video 'do i believe i'm a 140 fighter, yes. Do i believe i could make 140 anymore, no'

I know, the Floyd groupie PimpC said Floyd is a 140 pound fighter because Floyd said it. It is complete BS but Floyd's fan will take what their hero says at face value because they have no critical thinking skills. After all, why would you pay $60-$70 for one of his anti-climatic horse**** fights.

Most guys drain themselves to fight at weights they shouldn't be at. Where have been? Rios at 135 Chavez Jr at 160 are just two examples.:deal

The pbf hater jmotrain. Who has been hating on pbf since I started posting here, proven wrong about the man time and time again is acting as if pbf is a huge ww. He thinks pbf should be fighting guys who would dwarf him in the ring. All the while guys who fight at 140 weigh more on fight night than pbf does at 147 and they walk around at a higher weight to.

I'm not taking if off what floyd says but look at the guy, he's a small man. He clearly doesn't weigh 140 but say for his size at age 23 he'd be able to make 140 comfortably.

His fights can be dull but usually watching i blame the other guy. They never do what they claim they're going to... floyd just picks em apart. Pacman v rios was a dull fight, why? because it was one sided. Like most floyd fights.

    If you can't make a catchweight that's 4 pounds higher than 140, you're not a 140 pound fighter.

If you haven't made 140 since George W. Bush was president, you're not a 140 pound fighter.

What he is is a welterweight good enough to win titles at junior middleweight.
