Gennady Golovkin lists TOP 5 most interesting future fights but I see it as his hit list. The guy has 19 straight KO's and has never been 12 rounds. I would of put Chavez and Canelo as 1 and 2 but he wants Cotto's title!

More like he wants the easier fight against the smaller Cotto.

Cotto should vacate the wbc title and let GGG-Canelo happen for it.Chavez could be a good fight at the end of the year just for fans , but i dont see chavez making the 160 and i dont know that ggg will move to 168 just to fight him

Andre Ward, "not now, my focus 160, maybe for future."

Well then why in the he11 is he always talking about going down to 154 or 150, where he's never fought before, to fight welterweights? Or why would he be willing to go to 168 for Chavez Jr but not for Ward?

I understand what he is saying and why. Perfectly logical and the same pattern that all great and/or popular fighters take. But some of you delusional fanboys don't. C'mon folks. 1 + 1 = ? ...it is all about the risk/reward gamble.

If Golovkin was disliked by the general public, they would be yelling at him for being a coward for even wanting to face the small and old Cotto. But when others take comparable fights? He11 on ESB forums. Oh, the hypocrisy...

Because as he has said, Ward is not a PPV. HBO have said even Froch isn't a PPV fight.

GGG isn't talking about going down to face Lara or Bundrage. He talks about Mayweather/ Cotto/ Alvarez etc. Same reason why he talks about going up to fight Chavez.

Why drain himself or give up a size advantage for chump change when he's probably very confident nobody can beat him at 160.

He would be able to bring up that argument with some merit if he had ever fought on a PPV before. But he has not. So that sort of reasoning is completely irrelevant. EDIT: That argument would only provide equal justification for why those men shouldn't want to or be expected to face Golovkin (since he isn't a PPV fighter, either!). So choose that argument if you really want to shoot yourself in the foot.

He and his fans expect Mayweather/Pacquiao/Alvarez to move up in weight to fight him and accuse them of "ducking" Golovkin. Yet he has made it clear that he will not fight below or above 160... I smell a double standard.

'always talking about going to 150'

Always talk about going to 150? Golovkin is always talking about that?

He will fight above or below 160 for a PPV fight- ergo you make more money.

Would you expect your boy Mayweather to drain himself to 140 for a fight that wasn't on PPV, or go up to 160? No, so perhaps it's you with the double standard.

Why drain himself or give himself a size disadvantage against guys when he can make the same money fighting in a weight class he's comfortable in- for a title that he is defending.

Secondly, Mayweather/ Cotto/ Alvarez/ Pacquiao/ Chavez nearly always fight on PPV regardless of opponent and Golovkin is a bigger name B-side than most of their opponents because while he may not be a PPV fighter he is a big draw.

Anyway, I understand the biggest reason why not of the 5 mentioned above wouldn't want to fight him at 175/ 168/ 160 or whatever- he'd beat all 5 of them.

Golovkin wants to clean out his division :|

Golovkin wants to stay at middleweight :|

Golovkin will take a gimme against Chavez for the biggest available payday but wont fight Ward :|

Havent seen this much crying over a fighter not leaving a weightclass in a long time. Most of the people doing the *****ing don't have much to say about Ward moving out of his division ironically enough.

He won't fight Ward because he wants to clean out 160.

Why did he sign to fight Chavez Jr at 168 if he wants to clean out 160? Why did his team agree to fight Bernard Hopkins at 170 if he wants to clean out 160? Why is he offering to go down to 154 to fight May/Pac if he wants to clean out 160?
