Oh GGG is ducking Floyd. At least that's what those dickheads would say if Floyd said the fight was impossible. In any case, both of them would be right

On further viewing you are right, he does call Ward a "good boy" but quickly changed it to "good man" so the "good boy" got covered up.

Thread title is misleading, should be renamed "GGG calls Ward a good boy"

the fight is impossible,GGG is trying to make his name with HBO and someone must have informed him that if he wants to keep fighting on HBO it will be with Top rank fighters or other promoters that HBO uses

    my bad.

Why GGG say it is impossible?
    - I come up with the following 3 possibilities

    a) GGG and Floyd are with different TV networks
    b) GGG is too big for 154, and Floyd is too small
    c) Floyd is scared (GGG winked at the end of the interview)

Answer would be a combo of all 3.

Different networks can be overcome b/c of the type of $$$$ this would generate. HBO would let GGG out of his contract for one fight if it meant them getting some dough and him becoming a PPV star himself which he certainly would after the second rd of a fight with Floyd when he layed him out cold.

But the real reasons are Floyd is a WW, and could easily campaign at LWW. He doesnt need to drain to make WW and doesnt rely on any added size/strength due to his style. However, GGG is a natural MW, but b/c of his vigorous training and selfless dedication, could easily make 154 without being drained. He's a smallish MW to begin with.

C works too because Floyd would be crazy to risk a fight with someone with the footwork and comeforward style of GGG, especially since his power is not telegraphed and easily slipped. Each jab from GGG would be like the hardest shot Judah or Mosely hit Floyd with, and it would be over quick if they met.:think

its not 'c'. fans should never use this about fighters to try and get a response on a forum

a better 'c' would be : would casuals buy a GGG fight to make it worthwhile to showtime?

it's silly matchup, what would it prove anyway ? if ggg won the fight it would only prove that it takes a super middle weight to beat floyd. it would not make ggg the better boxer or the p4p 1. yo ggg get your mind off of jr ww (mayweather) and call out alvarez, ward or chavez jr. hell you that bad challenge hopkins but forget about floyd.

This fight should be at 160 or forget it. Wouldn't want to see GGG moving down for one payday.
