Do you remember what Floyd said back then, when they asked him if he would fight Tszyu? I remember it well. Tell us what it was.
KT because of resume. GGG, unfortunately, has weaker opposition due to no fault of his. If GGG had fought Ward and beat him, then GGG gets my vote.
Well GGG did have an opportunity to back up his hype against Ward at 168 dot a 50/50 fight. So essentially his refusal to accept the challenge is his very own fault.
Interesting thread. Resume wise I have Tszyu with a slight lead at the moment, he came out of the amateurs and immediately started fighting name opponents. Past prime boxers but guys who knew how to fight Livingstone Bramble, Roger Mayeweather, Juan Laporte. Then he suffered the Phillips setback which was a great fight I recommend to watch it on YouTube. Many ppl at that time figured he was done. European fighters didn't have a hold on the sport like they do today and many considered him exposed. Then after some fights the big showdown with Zab Judah. This was shortly after 9/11. I remember this fight Judah was heavily hyped and expected by many to win, I believe he was the favorite. Tszyu absolutely annihilated him with perfect timing negating his speed and blowing him away in 2 rounds. That fight ruined Judah's career in many ways. Add in good wins against Gonzalez who Tszyu stopped, a badly faded Chavez who Tszyu stopped, 2 wins over Sharmba Mitchell and Tszyu had a nice career. Hirtado who gave Whittaker all sorts of problems and was a spoiler type didn't make it past 5 rounds. Would of loved to see Tszyu vs Mayweather. But the careers didn't lign up for that one. For what it's worth I believe Prime Tszyu would of handled Hatton. If Triple G makes a statement win against Canelo he can move over him.
