I thought mitt works are overrated, it's great for hand eye coordination and muscle memory. But generally the mitt holder doesn't hit back or even move much. I can see from the clip that GGG already in shape. It's gonna be a good fight.
Simple public workout.. nothing huge here.. He look good as usual and ready.. best part of the video is all those fine women bringing him the jersey and taking pics with him lol
The bad thing is that this is a public work out from a previous fight not now. I am still yet to see any training for the canelo fight.
Like to see boxers train how they box,how many times have we seen Canelo throwing multiple combos only in the ring it never comes out. GGG keeps it very simple, knock their heads off basically.
Is that the really the best response you could come up with? How does pointing out what is blatantly obvious about this training clip make me a fanboy? Anyone can clearly see how sloppy Abel was on those mitts. The quality of this clip simply cannot compare to the Eddy & Canelo working the pads, which there are countless videos to see. If this clip of Golovkin hitting the mitts with Abel is from a while back, and if there really aren't any training videos of Triple G getting released, then one has to wonder why? Why are there so many impressive recent videos of Canelo training but apparently not any of Triple G training?
Mitts is the most useless exercise ever. Mitts were invented for locker room warmups before a fight - nothing more, nothing less. Ray Robinson, Joe lewis, armstrong, duran, leonard never worked the mitts in camp. Back then all work revolved around the heavy bag. Even the speed bag was considered a drill for amateurs and boys. Sparring was the only resource used for perfecting a fight plan. Many people believe the popularity of mitts today is due to the lack of quality sparring partners (just general lack of men boxing today) and fighters must simulate actual fight movements in other ways. Anyways, **** Able's "skills" on the mitts - GGG is a monster. Sounded like a cannon going off.
Golovkin not only was punching extremely hard, he looked faster than he ever has. I think he is up for this fight!!! His punches are really hard, you can tell, he will knock El Pollo out.....................
Holy smokes, I'm so looking forward to this fight. It's impossible for this fight to disappoint. We might see a Hagler/Hearns type of fight.
wtf you talkin bout, the man is catching 4 punch combos repeatedly without missing a beat, how does ggg knocking loose pads off him make him unskilled?
