Gennady Golovkin punches almost 3 times as hard as Mayweather did. In a literal sense.

That's a fact. Golovkin generates almost 2,200 pounds of force on his power shot when he sits down. Which is harder than most LHW champs. So when people say GGG hits like a Cruiserweight they are not exaggerating, but telling the truth.

Mayweather is a light punching Welterweight who produces about 800 pounds of force when he sits down on his punch. And at Welterweight he rarely did that. So he'd actually be punching lighter than that most often against GGG.

Now I never, ever, ever, ever once said or suggested that Floyd should fight GGG. I always knew the size difference was too much. Floyd won his first title at 130 pounds and GGG's first title was at 160. Yet peple were saying that Mayweather would beat prime GGG a couple years back. That is one of the single dumbest things I have ever read on this forum. Just incredibly dumb for somebody to say that. And it was a lot of dummies on here spouting that BS off.

Mayweather hardly sat down on his punches. If you know anything about technique, you know he mostly slapped with his punches.
He rarely put his knuckles into a punch. And when throwing the right, he would lean forward and be on the toes of his right leg, making sure he wasn't telegraphing his right hand.
He also would change angles while punching, which takes power away from a shot.

It’s odd how Canelo had more trouble with Mayweather’s punches.

Pacquiao is also feather fisted as he could only generate 806 lb of force...

Roidquez punches w/ 1300+ lb of force...

I can't take Sports Science seriously when they use stuff like pounds instead of metric.

Wow, so a middleweight has more power than a super featherweight. Who'd a thunk it?

Pacquiao is a former Flyweight champion. Of course he's featherfisted at WW. What else could you expect from a 112 pound champ? He has a zero KO's at 147 and higher for a reason.

Look man I'm right there with you. A few years ago we had Floyd fans saying a past prime Mayweather would school a prime GGG. It doesn't get much dumber than that. One of the dumbest things I've ever read on this forum.

    :lol:Nope, jumped right to conclusions.
Btw, where did you get the 800lbs from?

And even at lighter weights where Floyd was commited to punching, he never KTFO anyone.

No bro in my opening post I said that Floyd rarely sits down on his punches. But when he does he can produce about 800 pounds of force. And when somebody asked me where did I hear the 800 pounds from I replied sports science. So what gives man? Are you choosing not to read. I dont understand where you are coming from. I really dont.
