I'm not interested in his career anymore. I don't see him mounting a comeback, getting into title contention or trying to enhance his legacy in anyway. The man has his foot out the door and should just walk through. This isn't a knock on his career, as he is very accomplished. It's just acknowledgement of where he is in his life's journey. Boxing is a young man's game and requires daily dedication. If he isn't putting in the daily work anymore, it's time to move on.
It does, but given GGG's current shape, he might lose to a no-namer at this point. Unless he has a Fury-like ability to blow up and come back down to fighting weight without seeming to lose much....
He hasn't ballooned up anywhere near as badly as Fury has. Just sporting a bit of a dad bod. Obviously father time is undefeated but I'm still willing to give him the benefit of the doubt against most within his weight range.
When you buy a GGG fight you get a fight. Count me in. What if he could come back and do a Bhop thing?
Well there is a certain young billionaire musician whose concert tickets are $2000 in the US who peddles a credit card.
For some reason i wasn't on edge for the trilogy fight, especially after the first round. Golovkin seemed well aware of all that was coming his direction and was competing on the level with Canelo. The punches that did get through didn't seem to bother him. I just wanted him to let his hands go more and with worse intentions like most of us did. In retrospect he didn't do bad at 40 years old, and was the one that was more so in comand in the last 4 rounds. The older fighter was the fresher fighter, while Canelo was the more fatigued fighter. But he, i think has more to lose than to gain here. If he does fight, maybe get a couple easy tuneup KO'S before he takes on someone like a contender.
I think he was just playing it safe in trilogy fight. When he feels he can take you out he puts it in another gear. He was absolutely brutal vs Murata in the later rounds.
Even Jake Paul knows that a 42 year old former middleweight would knock his roided up head right off his shoulders haha Paul would never agree to it.
