GGG is a true middleweight. Floyd weight was 146. He could fight at 140 if he wanted in the same way GGG can fight at 154. Who would want to see Floyd against a 140er right now? Nobody.

GGG beats Floyd on size advantage. GGG is 2X better than Maidana and you saw what Maidana's size and crude style did to Floyd. Easy win for GGG if not by KO. A great big man beats a great small man.

We should be calling for GGG v Kovalev, GGG v Ward, GGG v Froch ... GGG should be the one seeking out bigger guys and seeking out multiple division titles. He's still in his prime where Floyd is close to retiring.

Floyd didn't make JMM do anything. JMM is the one who asked for the fight. Why wouldn't you accept it as Floyd? He obviously wasn't in form having just returned from a layoff. There was no title on the line.

he isn't trying to fight smaller fighters, but answering a journalist's questions. he's trying to fight the best in his division and has been for a few years, he just isn't getting many takers.

 

When a fighter who can hypothetically make the weight is asked if they would take a Floyd/Manny opportunity/payday, the answer is invariably yes. Not sure how/why anyone makes a big deal out of it.
