Metallicker answered some questions re Golovkins amateur career.Think Felixtrinidad makes a good point about the age thing.Know hes a champion but the victims possibly not as good as youd expect from a 30yr old.Having said that,if he lasts(like Froch) think hell run out of middles and have to move up.
The only one around the weight id back against him is Ward.Froch i make 50 50,especially in GB.Martinez a good opponent right now but i think Golovkin the one to end it for him.Think Sergio ever so slightly overrated. If Chavez wins,Golovkin again.

I'd say that Golo should move up at LHW or at HW. His super-sayan power would put Haye or Vitali on a clinic ! :yep

At 154 Lara and Cotto would beat Golovkin.
At 160 I think he can beat most of MW's except Martinez , Jr (mostly of his size advantage) and maybe Pirog and at SMW he has good chances to beat Abraham.

I think people are overrating GGG. I like what I see, but Proksa is a flawed fighter who is not good enough to beat any of the champions. I need to see him fight a good fighter before I say he's so dangerous. He leave himself open a lot, and he's slow. Slike fighters will give him lots of troubles.

Gets beat by Ward, Dirrel, Kessler and Froch at 168 lbs these guys are to big for Golovkin.

Martinez beats him, Lara and Pirog would be 50-50 fights for Golovkin.

Cotto is skilled enough to win but the power of Golovkin may be to much in the late rounds for him to deal with, could go either way.

If Dirrell couldn't beat him in the amateurs, I fail to see how he beats him in the pros. Dirrell's style is more suited for amateurs whilst Golovkin's style transfers to the pros wonderfully.

Dirrell though, does have the advantage of having fought at a high level, in Froch and Abraham.

I think agressive opponents dont have a chance against him. The only fighters are the very intelligent and slick fighters, like ward, lara and mayweather. Other than that i don't onow any fighter, some say cotto, cotto is a small lmw, with no 1 punch ko power and to little boxing skills to keep golovkin at bay.
Some say froch, although he is a good fighter and has power i don' think that fight would last past 7 round because of the style of froch, agressive and open.
I hope he proves the next couple of fights that he is the best mw.

Golovkin would send Cotto to the morgue.

It's one thing saying you'll fight anyone, another to actually do it. It's laughable that people are comparing him to Froch, Carl's been there and done it. Let's see Golovkin in with an elite, then see how he does.

Floyd would never fight GGG, he probably shitted his pants after watching Golovkin fight.

I'd like to see against Floyd...someone that finally has a REAL chance to beat him! But Floyd won't take that risk...his 0 is too important for him.

    Dirrell did beat him
"He avenged the Despaigne loss 41-28 in their second bout later and world champ Gennady Golovkin 15-14 at the 2003 USA vs. Kazakhstan Dual."
I'd bet 50 bucks Floyd didn't even watch the fight and doesn't know who he is.

GGG didn't sound overly excited when Kellerman brought up Ward's name.

    At 154 - 160 he's a terror; 168 may be a different thing.

Even a 50,000 dollar bet sounds safe lol.

Doesn't change the fact Gennady will break Floyd's shoulders though.
