im not against it cafe...if floyd wants to take the fight im all for it....its fine with me....just dont think people should be making fun of him if he has no interest...im not against the fight itself....thats what people like you fail to understand...im not against certain things...i just dont think you need to call fighters names and make accusations because they arent going to make certain fights that arent really all that fair

floyd is a king and a boss in this sport

miguel cotto is also up there as far as a name in the sport....both guys have hof careers...and hof resumes.....and both spent their primes at welter

if neither wants to fight ggg...its ok....if they want the fights im not gonna say "oh man this is stupid this shouldnt be legal"....but im not gonna hold it against them if they dont want to fight a career mw ....one who doesnt have a single hof'er or top 50 p4p guy on his resume yet .....

You're clearly uncomfortable with GGG destroying all your heroes at 154 and 160 so you keep clinging to 1 guy who might beat him at 168.

And even your tow line of 'GGG is avoiding Ward' is completely false. An initial offer was made, in public by K2, what are Ward's demands?

i could care less about floyd or cotto losing...it wont hurt me one bit.....for every person that might be hurt or care about them losing....there is one person, or more, who are just as concerned with ggg losing....because it will hurt them too....they lost on pacman and now need someone else to hold over floyd.....and they will be crushed....which is why they DONT want ward......

i dont care if floyd or cotto lose...im a floyd fan...im a fan of cotto but not like some huge fan....i like pac(ive even paid my way to see him fight twice in person)...i love jmm...i like paulie ....and a ton of fighters...im a fan of the sport

i just dont think floyd and cotto need to prove anything by fighting ggg...and are a huge disadvantage......both are career prime welters...and they arent big welters......neither guy needs ggg......ward/ggg makes sense for both guys to a larger degree....cotto/floyd vs ggg only makes sense for ggg....you cannot deny that

Your first two sentences are the exact reason GGG is wanting to fight them. Ward is no where NEAR the draw either of them are and BOTH of them fought at 154 in their prime. Not to mention Cotto is reigning MW champion.

As for your comment on GGG's resume, that is horsesh*t. WHo were the great fighters that Maidana, Ortiz, Berto, Guerrero, Gatti beat? Broner was Maidanas biggest win FFS!!

Having said that, now we switch blame to GGG. Ward doesn't bring any money...but he brings a ton of legacy which will lead to money. He could preface the fight by saying he is going up one time to fight Ward, then returning to 160 if he still wants Cotto/Canelo... but he isn't doing it. Just like Floyd, Cotto and Pac he doesn't give a sh*t about legacy and just wants money fights he is confident he can win.

 

@ycgs.....yes i understand why ggg wants to fight them....but you also understand, in the same breath, why those guys dont care or need to fight ggg

mayb4e yer right about some of the other fighters faced by floyd and others...their resumes arent a heck of alot better than gggs...although id still say better....the point is.....floyd is a boss...cotto is a boss....and their resumes do have hof fighters on them....even if they have fighters on there that arent all that deserving....they do have several who were...and worthy and hof'ers.....ggg has none ...not even close....thats why bosses aint even gonna flirt with the idea
