Because their only interest is in seeing a middleweight fight a welterweight

Would love nothing more than to see this fight - immediately after Mayweather bossed him for 12 rounds people would either say Golovkin was a hype-job or that he was weight-drained though.

How about Golovkin takes up his own challenge and moves up to fight Ward? Two guys at the same point in their careers.

This isn't really news. Him and his team have been saying this for about a year now.

I agree with Gennady in the sense that this is the biggest fight in the sport right now. It's a tall order to ask of for an aging superstar like Mayweather; I think this fight would've been more feasible if Floyd was in his early 30's.

GGG definitely poses the biggest risk to FLoyd out of anybody that campaigns in and around Mayweather's weight class. I have no problem with FLoyd not taking this fight at this juncture of his career, but I would love to see it.

Floyd's at the end of his illustrious career. Why derail his retirement by facing the most dangerous fighter in the world? Floyd's risk-taking days are long gone.

Floyd fought Canelo, who is huge, why not ggg?
They can put in a rehydration clause

I do agree that many of Floyd's opponents usually come in around 158-165 anyway so with a rehydration clause it'd be fair enough but I'd rather see Golovkin operate at a lower weight for a fight and camp so it'd be a great fight, we don't know if he can make that, for the money and opportunity to fight Floyd he'd do it anyway. Mayweather would only come in around 152 and it'd be the usual size discrepancy for him. Again though, it's still a fight people want because he's a ****ing middleweight, nobody would say Pacquiao is ducking GGG if he won in May.

How many people cried and continue to cry about Canelo suggesting or "Floyd demanding" the fight be at 152? Does Drainelo ring a bell? Have you heard "at 154 Canelo knocks him out" before? Now you want a 160 pounder to suggest or "demanded by Floyd" to go to 154? And here I thought Pac was his last challenge so he can retire at 40 in peace...

Wait so Canelo gets called Drainelo because he had to shed 2 lbs, Golovkin would have to lose 6 and you are fine with that? I think we already know the weight drained excuse will be in effect

The fight isn't difficult to make really if Floyd wanted to do it.
