Carl has a iron chin and never been stopped

“I’ve now spoken directly with Carl about this and he is interested,” Hearn said via the Dailymail.co.uk

Golovkin shouldn't be forced to move up though its sad

It would be an amazing achievement if he could stop Froch. Froch is as hard as nails and never quits but it's a big ask. Punchers like Benn and AA were not the same in terms of power then they moved up and it could very well be the same when Golovkin moves up.

As for being forced to move up, it's not like Froch could ever make middleweight the guy doesn't have an ounce of fat on him. But it is a shame nobody at middleweight has the b.alls to face Golovkin, so he has to look upwards for a challenge.

While it is commendable that Golovkin wants this fight it's also a calculated risk.

Froch is a big draw, Golovkin will receive the biggest purse of his career should this happen and a win could take Golovkin to the next level. Froch has been inactive for a year and based upon his actions and what he has said, seems to be half retired and lacking motivation. If there is a right time for GGG to take Froch, it's now.

you would think someone with 13,000+ posts would know to address a 10 page thread that already exists since news broke yesterday AM about this , the one last night was bad enough and now you open this as well , why ?

If you don't want this fight to happen then I want to spit on you. This fight will be a back and forth war. Genuinely think Froch may beat him, his awkward style is a nightmare for anyone, add to the fact that he's hittable and Froch won't go down as easy as Geale or Macklin. I mean.. Come on. If you don't give Froch a shot at all here then there's no hope for you. Also who knows how GGG will carry the weight. GGG should be favourite but I would anticipate a "shock".

Froch is a decline fighter which shows in his last 2 fights. A lot of wars he has receive is taking it's tools. I mean if pac is a "SHOT" decline fighter cause he's been in many great fights? Then the same can be said about froch. Plus Froch is 37 years old. So golovkin face and beat froch? it's nothing to brag about because again froch is a shot decline fighter.

Groves, Kessler, Johnson, Dirrell, Taylor, they all hurt Froch.
And its not like hes known for his defence.

GGG cooks him. Froch's reflexes have been gone for 3 years, Golovkin hits him with 500 clean punches and eventually takes him out.

Froch is way too easy to hit. GGG finishes him early.

i don't see it happening. i'm not saying he couldn't take it, but I don't see GGG stopping Froch.

More importantly than Ward, he can kiss fights w/ cotto and canelo goodbye if he does though which are much bigger money fights than Ward.

I expect Golovkin to KO him. Groves dropped him early, timed him well too. Golovkin is better than Groves in every way. You can't count Froch out but given his age and lack of defense, I got Golovkin by late stoppage. Froch is bigger but less skilled, I think Golovkin's skill + power overcomes the size difference (which isn't much anyway).
