First of all - wow, Hassan N'Dam vs. Khurtsidze - what a fight! Definite FOTY candidate. I had Khurtsidze winning by a single point though a draw or a split decision loss would've been acceptable as well, the UD for Hassan N'Dam - especially the 117-111 score - however not. Also, what's with French fights and rounds ending early? I remember they pulled the same **** in Mormeck-Bell II. They sould appoint international timekeepers.

Anyway, with Felix Sturm being the WBA Super Champion at MW, expect him to stay away from the new generation as long as he can, and let interim titlist Hassan N'Dam and regular champ Gennady Golovkin to play it out - and when that happens, expect GGG to win in two rounds.

I always liked Hassan's flashy, cocky, fan-friendly style that reminds many of Naseem Hamed, but stepping up to B level - where Khurtsidze fights - showed the Cameroon-born fighter is very flawed. The short Khurtsidze is a good little pressure fighter who bobs and weavers and works well on the inside, well conditioned and can take a punch to land his, but no way with the reach, movement and reflexes N'Dam has the Georgian should've found so much success, cathing Hassan over and over again with both hands. Conditioning is another issue, plus N'Dam doesn't fight off the rope very well.

Gennady Golovkin has one of the best lead rights in the game (sparked out Bute in the amateurs with it) and Hassan looks awfully open for it. GGG also packs a cracking short left hook the limited Khurtsidze was able to sell, and believe me, Golovkin will not hesitate to go for the openings early, hard and often. My prediction is GGG by 2nd round knockout.

And a little update: the WBA ruled that this fight must happen before the end of January 2011, so this is definitely the next fight (though I think the deal will reached by that time but the fight unlikely to happen before February IMO).

Golovkin would win yes, but by early KO? I'm not so sure.

For all the shots Hassan was being caught with, he showed good durability and a good chin aswell. Despite the beatdowns he's been putting on bums ATM, Golovkin is a relatively unproven puncher at higher levels. I think he would land regularly and possibly stop N'Jikam late, but a UD would be the most likely outcome IMO.

I though N'Jikam looked very good and quite flashy in spells against Khurtsidze, but he just didn't have the conditioning to keep it up.

When/if this fight happens, I expect Golovkin to win.

I imagine there's goin to be an immediate rematch between N'kijam and Khurtside given how good and close the first fight was. I was surprised that Hassan had so much trouble with him and arguably should have lost the fight. Golovkin is on another level and shouldn't have too much trouble getting to him.

Hopefully Golovkin gets this fight, then a fight with Sturm asap. Then he can move onto the big fights, where we can find out if he's as good as I think he is.

How dare you speak of things other than Pac or Mayweather/Klitschko?

I agree with the titel more or less. But the fight won't happen anytime soon if we're to believe the rumours. N'Jikam's promoter just got a TV deal for 6 shows and N'Jikam is their only star. Boxing logic tells us that he won't be fighting Golovkin in this situation. I should definately use the word 'rumours' once more, though.

When is Golovkin's court case? I expect his career to finally get going after he gets Universum out of the way. It's too bad he didn't get on the Pacquiao card, he could be a star in waiting. Arum should sign him up and set up a fight between Golovkin and Pavlik.

Don't laugh ( oh hell, laugh all ya want,) but N'jikam reminds me of zuniga in the respect that when he comes to the ring he looks like the happiest man alive; like he is delighted to be there!

He showed plenty of power vs. the amateur elite, and power is directly transferable to the pros. In the 2003 World Championship (where he also beat Korobov, Lee, and Despaigne), GGG knocked out Lucian Bute and stopped Oleg Mashkin in the finals. Here's the Bute KO:

I'm just now watching N'Jikam/Khirtzide. I'm only at round two, but so far Khurtizide looks like he has a God Damn lazer sight attached to his left hook!

I want to see N'Jikam-Hurktsitdze rematch rather. I scored their first fight 115-113 for Georgian, even french crowd booed the decision.

I wouldn't mind a rematch either, what a fight it was.
