Osumanu Adama knocked out Karmazin in his fight before his Geale decision-loss, and Karmazin apparently won nearly every round in a fight vs Ouma in the fight before Karmazin lost a majority vs. Cory Spinks. so, CLEARLY this is a step up in competition for Triple G. :)

Wow, calm the fukk down people. This ain't an HBO date, the next time Golovkin fights on HBO is April 26th.

Low budget, Ishida type of opponent at the same location, two months before he fights Murray. Which leads to Martinez. Simple as. Holy fukk some of you must be sensitive bitches in real life.

Idle = no money, no exposure. **** opponent = Monte Carlo money, online media exposure. :conf

that was written tongue in cheek. of course Adama is overmatched and people are either disappointed or disgusted. and ya, i'm a newbie but i've been watching fights since roughly 1976. but anyway, more scouting on Adama...

his best punch by far is the jab, quick and snappy. he doesn't like to be against the ropes at all, covers his head up decently when pressured but is susceptible to body shots. very willing to exchange but is slow, wide and not that accurate. seems his favorite punch is right uppercut when opponent is coming in. good stamina, very active fighter. he's never tasted power like he will in february though.

By being the most active fighter in the division and taking on everyone available and taking on one side fight?

Something smells VERY David Price and Deontay Wilder about this match up

    What's the achille's heel?

Because it is beginning to STiNK like there is a problem?

Isn't GGG also 32 years old?!?

    Something very fishy here :yep

I think this might be the case also. Ive said before, im really hoping that Murray got put on same card in MC to give HBO some marketing material to build up a spring showdown. April 26? Is that PAC fight date?

Would actually be really cool if HBO put GGG in with a top 5 MW on Pac undercard. Maybe they are finally realizing that people who might dish out 75 clams for a PPV these days actually care about the undercard.

speaking of (#7 ranked mw) Murray, he's fighting the 147th ranked mw next week (Khomitsky), a guy he's already decisioned and that triple g knocked out. don't see anyone all up in his grill about it. that's the BEST he could find after 10 months? did martinez hurt his feelings that bad?

Don't know about PAC's date... possible. :think

ESPN: "If Golovkin, 31, a native of Kazakhstan who lives in Germany and trains in the United States, defeats Adama, he is slated to return to the U.S. for an April 26 HBO fight."

Just curious, where is Murray ranked #7? I know Ring has him at 6, WBA has him at #1 (and should be GGG mandatory) and IBO at #10.

As an aside... I thought it interesting that Adama is ranked 3 on IBO rankings... ahead of Mora, Macklin and Murray. They have Geale as #1... but still... how on earth? I confess, I may never come to understand rankings set by any sanctioning body.

He's not taking on everyone available. He's looking for a big money fight. In the absence of that, he's hand picking overmatched opponents.

Thanks. Boxrec seems as good as any. Adama 14 on boxrec... not terrible really. At least hes a top 20 not a top 200.

Though when comparing them by boxrec points....:lol::lol:
