Loeffler has some pr to do with this poor excuse of a fight. Adama is a gatekeeper, where Gennady is being touted the next superstar. Mora had previously stated he was available and willing, though don't know about his financial requirements and what was available. Hopefully Adama backs out.

What more can the guy do? He said he wants to fight, I have no reason to doubt him.

We'll as I pointed out earlier...

Plus there is no guarantee that the guys at SMW would be interested. Froch seems to want Ward, Chavez or a big money fight (not sure GGG is that). He also has unfinished business with Groves so GGG wouldn't be at the top of his list. Ward has already said GGG does nothing for his legacy or something like that (basically isn't showing much interest) plus Ward has other options so guarantee GGG would be anywhere near the top of his list either. Who else is there? Kessler - Is he even still fighting? Groves - Hardly a big name, had one fight at the top level and lost it.

Froch already said he would fight GGG if he moves up. Ward would fight him as well as long as the money is right.

The magical contract that is just floating around waiting for Mora to pluck it from the air? ...or skewered to a large slab of stone with an enchanted sword that only Mora can pull?

If he is as skilled some say then 168 shouldnt be a problem. He can continue to fight Tomato cans if he wants, All im saying is that he is 31 and has had no significant fights yet and the guys who have the other belts are not fights that will be made anytime soon.

Completely different, Hopkins had superstars move up to fight him so it made sense legacy wise an financially. GG doesnt have that on the horizon.

Why is he fighting in Monte Carlo anyway? Should have kept on fighting and building himself up in America instead.

No one is ducking gg or reluctant to give him a shot. Those fights arent viable at this point in time or the near future.

And Froch has also said he wants Ward, Chavez or a Groves rematch. He's also said he thinks he has about 3 fights left. Talk is cheap. Ward doesn't seem especially interested in GGG. He didn't fight Bute after saying he would. He's got Froch, Stevenson and maybe Kovalev all wanting a piece of him. He's mentioned Hopkins. Why would GGG be ahead of them in the que? Why would Ward fight GGG when he didn't fight Bute? Point is, there are no more guarantees of a big fight at 168 than there is at 160 so moving up doesn't warrant the risk.

I honestly thought the next opponent would be Mora. Kind of disappointing, I was hoping that since HBO was iffy on the Monte Carlo fight anyhow that Mora would get his shot. I think Mora is under rated, it might have been a good match. Guess Loeffler wanted GGG to look good again for the Prince lol.

All the top rated MW guys spoken for though, so we all knew it was going to be a keep-busy fight. Although probably a pretty highly paid one. I am betting that headlining in Monaco is actually a pretty sweet deal if you can get it.

He really needs a new promoter where they have the money to pay for better opposition. He's still my favorite fighter but goddamn.

This is a non HBO fight. After this stay busy fight I think 3G will fight someone good.
