AHHHH two of my favorite fighters.

I'd pay 50$ just for the sparring footage man. lol

 

Hopefully sparring footage will come out at some point, still great for both guys. The amateur credentials of both are amazing.

 

How do these training visits usually work? Does Golovkin have to pay for Murata's travel expenses, lodging and food along with paying for training or does Murata absorb any of the expenses?

 

Golo probably keeps him in the drawer of a big chest like Kramer did those businessmen.

Often the lesser known guys are paid to come give rounds to the bigger name. Thats how a lot of journeyman and prospects make some coin. Like when Derick Findley was up in Big Bear sparring with GGG for Stevens fight - he was def getting paid.

Every situation can be different though, often people will spar if both preparing for fights - and sometimes coaches take their guys to other gyms just to put work in, it just depends. Murata apparently has financial backing, so if both trainers thought the sparring would be useful to their guy then its quite possible noone is getting paid. Its also possible Abel or Tom just doing a favor for Top Rank. Its really impossible to say.

 

I have a feeling Teiken may be taking the "financial hit" so to speak though it could be Top Rank, it could be sponsors or it could be Misako Gym. Jorge Linares is in the US as well so the lodging could be something Teiken pay for. I know Yamanaka and Ao have both been in the US this year too.

Apparantly Murata was using Reyes gloves for power. Wonder how Mike took it.
