Ward would win a wide decision. I like GGG, but he's not close to Ward's level yet. Ask me again after he fights Froch, Cotto or JCC.
Even at his best, Ward is known to fade down the stretch. He did it vs Kessler ( hence the headbutts), Froch, and to a lesser extent vs Abraham. What's goingv to happen when he runs out of steam vs GGG ?
I got a feeling this fight would be one sided and Ward schools GGG. GGG has not shown that he has an inside game. If that's the case, I can see Ward just working on the inside. And he might beat GGG on the outside game too with his superior speed. Not to mention the disparity in natural size, which will enable Ward to take GGG's power better.
3 guys that have no intention of fighting GGG. Chavez claims he wants to but not for 7m and a huge one fight extension
Basing on style and skills, i'd go with Ward, UD or SD. 3G is too crude, not fast enough, not accurate enough. Also he would be fighting against a bigger, heavier and dirtier boxer.
Ward holds a bunch, gets some headbutts in and wins a split decision, but dies in the hospital from a GGG mule punch. GGG speaks at the funeral "He is good boy"
This is a real intriguing question. I just watch Ward vs. Froch and something makes me believe GGG footwork and punch arsenal will give him edge. Of course this is only a guess. Comparing Froch and GGG its obvious that GGG is more mobile, more skilled and aggressive boxer. Froch didn“t win rounds but he had his moments. GGG would have more moments and his punch out put would be better and he probably hits harder in short range. IMO All this will change the outcome to favor of Golovkin. although I feel Golovkin should unify the belts first in 160 and after that move to 168 because when you move up, its always difficult to return. And he is quite small MW. But in general, its a 50/50 fight like (Canelo vs Cotto) and I would love to see it.
