To sum Mago - Perez bout, it was pretty entertaining fight.

I think that Perez proved that he has what it takes to hunt that WBC belt once Vitali vacates it. As I thought, his defense wasn't on a top level, but it was good enough to neutralize most of Mago's big shots. He also showed that he can take a good punch, but he definitely needs to fix the aspect of his game that concerns his defense. Other than that, he had a very solid night, although he's obviously able to do a lot better.

As for Mago, he fought his typical fight, going out there and trading, also trying to land one of his big shots. Unfortunately for him, Perez showed a good chin, even I didn't expect Perez to have such a good punch resistance. Each time Mago landed big and couldn't hurt Perez, Mike hit him back and forced him to back off. At the end Mago proved to have pretty good chin himself, but also once again showed his limits and took a beating. This time his style really failed him.

I guess that Mike Perez will progress to #2 or #3 in the WBC rankings now. Looking forward to see him, Stiverne, Wilder and Arreola fighting each other.
