Afolabi is tied up immediately, Janik's left arm digging into his throat and pushing up on the bottom of his chin to point his face at the ceiling. Afolabi shoves him off and gets the jab pumping. Janik is carrying his arms low while backing away, then raising his guard to catch Afolabi's jabs. High slapping combos on the sides of the head by Janik walking in before circling out again. Afolabi marches Janik into the ropes and gets tied up. Afolabi shakes him and digs a right to the body. Left and right uppercuts by Janik circling away. Janik swings his arms low and shoots them out past Afolabi's waist to drag him into a clinch while turning him, and upon failing raises them up to protect his face. Right hand thuds down from Afolabi. Counter uppercut volleys by Janik while bowing forward and stepping around. Slapping hook up top by Janik while circling, blocked.

HBO is stupid not to have begun at 9pm and included this in a triple-header. I really don't understand why they didn't. This is the stuff that makes casual fans say "Hey, that HBO Boxing is some pretty fun stuff..." even if they have never heard of either of these guys (and they wouldn't have, to be fair)

 

Round 9

Afolabi is shimmying down and crawling under Janik's hooks while leaned over to one side. Janik swats at the back of his head with hooks jumping atop him, smothering once done throwing. Afolabi is jabbing and hooking at Janik's head and walking him onto the ropes. Janik is backing up in straight lines, his guard not serving to keep the heavy blows out. Janik ties up.

Round 10

Afolabi is jabbing on the offensive. Janik leaps in, hooking, ties up, and releases to launch himself out. Lots of clinching and carrying. Flurry to body and head by Janik. Afolabi grabs at him and shoves him away. Another flurry turned clinch by Janik. Overhand right by Janik. Afolabi plays possum a moment, slouching, then comes up with a brutal left hook rocking Janik out of the pocket. Afolabi gives chase and traps Janik on the ropes but eats a desperation flurry moving in on him. Clinch. Janik is bleeding horribly from the right eye. Right hand by Afolabi. Janik reels. Big hook by Afolabi. More hooks strung together, all grazing or ducked. Janik hunkers down and grabs him.
