This fight has destruction and KO written all over it......

    except.... I don't think so.

For as much ammo that will be in the ring come fight night, I actually expect a somewhat (relatively) subdued fight, given all the talk of stevens and KO power of both guys.

I think G will box his way to a wide UD......

That being said, I love this fight and Im glad someone finally stepped up to G, and that someone is the most powerful, and strongest, guy hes faced yet (imo).

This has become in my top 5 of most anticipated fights of the year. Because 1) Either G gets beaten, and that's huge. or... 2) Stevens gets to swallow some of his blood after opening his mouth so much about G. (most likely)

And no matter how much people want to **** on this fight, two things ring true for me.
    * GGG gets hit
    * Stevens hits harder then anyone hes faced (imo)

    I cant wait.

We don't want to see these types of matchups anymore. We want to see him fight the best at 160 or move up.

And to be honest, Macklin was a baby step up. Like maybe even half a step.

Macklin was offered a fight a year ago, as was Quillin. That was when Pirog dropped out of the GGG fight with back injury. They settled on Proksa after all these guys passed. So it's dumb to say he's being protected.

    Ok, clown:

Take my list and tell me which of those guys want to fight him? I bet you'll give me the same answer iceman did.

    :rofl

    fu.ck outta' here.

    Macklin cant bust a grape.

He couldn't even stop Felix Sturm....a guy that was almost killed by the washed-up featherfisted ghost of Javier Castilejo.

They all said they'd fight him sometime later. They all want it to marinate, nowhere to be found when GGG is looking for a fight.

    ...and?

Stevens is a major step down from Macklin.

Is power all that matters? Is Lemieux better than Macklin? You are acting a fool.

Quillin says he's ready to fight him now. Gaele said he would've fought him after Barker(unfortunately he lost). Martinez, understandably, wants an interim fight first. As Golovkin gets more and more attention, he will find it easier and easier to find opponents. Golovkin also says he'll fight anyone at 168 as well. Well, Chavez Jr., Ward, and Froch all expressed interest in fighting him. Oh, and Pirog is supposedly making a comeback. We know he'll fight Golovkin. 2014 should see a lot of doors open up for GGG.

I could very well see it being a KO1 for Triple G.

Chavez Jr is useless. I would enjoy a GGG-Froch fight.

I've never seen Quillin say he wants the fight now, it's always, let it marinate. He recently said he'd fight him on PPV, which tells you a lot about his timeline for this fight. Here's a recent link:

    http://www.*****.net/news/2013/07/11/peter-quillin-no-money-in-fighting-ggg-right-now.html

Here's Geale's promoter right before the Barker fight saying, maybe later:

Stevens is more of a threat than Macklin...He's stronger and faster.

Only a fool can't see that.

He can block and counter and leave guys sleeping on the canvas.
Macklin is not nearly as dangerous as that.

Quillin says, but his people just made an offer to Gabe Rosado.
