Very Good stoppage. The Ref's job is to stop the fight before someone is badly hurt.

Golovkin looks to be a guy we will be talking about in the Classic Forum in years to come. He is no joke. Powerful. Great, strong jab, and he has great punch effiiciency. He knows how to place his punches well. Great chin, too. He's just slow.

LOL@ Kellerman saying he has seen Proksa beat down World Class opposition. Proska has no world class opposition on his resume, until a few minutes ago.

Still Proska seemed decent. He was just in there with a beast. If Martinez doesn't fight Golovkin, he is quite simply a coward, and hypocrite.

In response to why max stepped aside.

    http://www.thesweetscience.com/news/articles-frontpage/14284-meet-gennady-golovkin

    * “My father was a coal miner. My mother worked as an assistant in a chemical laboratory. I have a twin brother named Max. We started boxing when I was ten. Almost always, we were in the same weight division. Max was technically better than I was. I was more aggressive and the harder puncher. We decided from the beginning that we would never fight each other. Three times, we were in the finals of the same important tournament; and each time, one of us stepped aside. At the 2004 Olympic trials, Max stepped aside so I could go to the Olympics. After that, I took the risk to leave Kazakhstan and turn professional. Max stayed in Kazakhstan to take care of our parents and look after my financial interests.”

Agreed. There will definitely be some who will call it a bad stoppage, but Proksa seemed unable to take GGGs shots. He was done.

I wouldn't count him out, either. But the closer we get to Ward-Dawson, I may be having a change of heart. I'm starting to think Bad Chad is going to be on point next week.

    Very stoked for that fight!
