Who would have won if Golovkin fought Mall instead of Murata that night in 2022 one day after Golovkins 40th birthday?
GGG decision. Jermall is quality though and would have his moments but his most consistent and dangerous weapon is his jab and I think GGG is savvy enough to consistently counter the jab or at least jab with Jermall to mess up his rhythm. GGG in his prime busts up Jermall but the one from the Murata fight would have to rely on his skills and craft to beat someone as good as Jermall.
At that point, Charlo would likely have outpointed him, Golovkin’s legs were shot, his balance wasn’t there and he couldn’t close distance as well, however he still had the hands. Prime Golovkin beats Charlo.
Charlo doesn’t belong in any conversation with HOF level opponents. Golovkin would beat easily by UD. Charlo gets knocked down and time or two as well.
