    You got that one right, which is why this is an acceptable title defense for Golovkin. I wish Fury would pick Ring Magazine ranked opponents.

    I guess being an EU champion and easily outboxing 21 men cleanly gets you ranked in the top 10 these days at middle weight.

    I'd rather see Golovkin fight Eubank ir, or Jermell Charlo.

    The IBF usually order a final eliminator between guys ranked in their top 10 to determine a mandatory challenger . I don't think he ever fought and won an eliminator or beat anybody from their top 10 :nusenuse:

    Sergiy beat guys like Tureano , Solimon and Calcuy to earn his mandatory status

    They basically realised that they needed a mandatory for whichever champion won the vacant title seeing as it was vacted to duck a mandatory in the first place. They really stick by their once a year mandatory business if they can even if it's nonsense.

    That was 6 years ago. 3 of Fury's last 4 title defenses were vs top 35-50 ranked fighters.

    Chisora was in shape at 241 for Vitali. When 1st facing Fury, Chisora was 261. Fat and out of shape.
