Gennady Golovkin vs Lajuan Simon RBR

Time for the 160 guys to mix it up with each other, sergio,golovkin,proska,n'jikam,pirog,sturm

 

World Champion, Olympic Silver Medalist, beat Bute and Dirrell in ams, KO power, great ring smarts. No surprise he's avoided.

 

Simon had never been stopped before.

Golovkin would KO Sturm, but I'm sure Sturm will never fight him.

 

I dont quite get it how he punch so hard or does he just find so good openings.

Golovkin look physically such a harmless looking small guy.

 

He KOed Bute in the amateurs, and he has wins over Dirrell, Lee, and Korobov.

 

I can't help but think people are a little bit too excited about Golovkin who's best win is still over Ouma...who was out boxing him and making him look silly...A nice stoppage of a guy who didn't deserve a title fight and was 2-3 in his last 5...

Lots of good matchups to be made, if the promoters are willing.

Ouma wasn't outboxing him. :-(

Ouma was making him look like a limited and average slugger for the first 8 rounds.

 

With his great amateur record which includes Olympic silver and his expected dominant performances against decent/not so great competition I think there's reason for excitement. He's a prospect and people want to see him in the ring with the best now.

Of course Lajuan Simon isn't a top middleweight but he went the distance with Abraham and Slyvester and Golovkin Ko'ed him in 1 round.

 

I don't know about Gennady but He looked very ordinary and hittable against a shot small Ouma.

 

Yeah.. Maybe he had bad night, maybe he was out of shape but he stopped him thou.

 

I'm not so sure they/we are. I can't imagine that people thinks he'll do well against Martinez for example. Which should of course be the measuring stick.
